I bought this mp4 mp3 player on ebay from china and it worked fine for a couple of weeks but it just wont turn on. i left it charging at night and the next morning it does nothing. sometimes it may get a flash on the screen for less than a second. but that's it.
Did you try the reset button because i have one just like that and sometimes it turns off and wont turn on and then the only thing left to do was clicking the reset button and it worked
How about when it's connected to the computer or mains? If it powers when it is but not once you disconnect, then the battery is dead and needs replacing. This is soldered onto the main board so needs to be done by a competent person but is fairly inexpensive.
If it doesn't power up when you connect to a PC or mains then it is a connection problem (check the cable, iPod and USB sockets) or a logic board problem.
I hope it is something simple for you. Otherwise I would find an iPod repair specialist near you (I'm too far away).

It's a brand new mp4 player from Hong Kong. Tried to install update per instructions for FIRST use....said it couldn't create image and posted error to stop process....Now, my son has an mp4 player we don't know how to make work. It doesn't even come on now.....
