Question about Comdial Impact 8024S-PT Corded Phone
We have a Comdial Impact phone system. When a customer calls in and the auto attendant aswers the customer selects the extension they would like to speak with. When they are tranfered there is nothing but dead air in between the tranfer and the call being answered by the person or voicemail. My music on hold no longer works so I would like to have the phone ring when it is transfering to the station so customer can hear the ringing. Any Ideas?

I do use CFOS, but to get it working, I did have to do some system programming. You have to turn on the master CFOS enable system parameter, and you have to assign a button for the station to be a CFOS feature button in the Station programming screen. The outside number to which calls will be forwarded is also assigned on the same screen... I've never found a way to set the number from the station itself.

The only way to fix it without your vendor getting envolved is to try to reboot your voicemail server/phone switch(depending on the model of your system it can be inside of your switch or separate computer).

You have a selector code that is disabling transfer operations. Login with administrative account find selector code assignment (under Auto Attendants (3)) find a selector code 1 or 2 and see what it does. Change it to direct extension transfer . In a partner selector code 1 and 2 shouldnot be used.

you will need to log in from a main phone or phone with LCD screen and go to the set you need to set to default in the menu...this maybe only be done through your vendor unless you know the system password to get into the configuration mode.
