SOURCE: Pioneer PDP-4340HD TV Media Receiver installation

With the cable splitter problem, I believe they used that idea to use the Antenna/cable A & B ports to watch digital and anolog TV.
Port A for Anolog and port B for Digital.

SOURCE: I have a Pioneer Elite

First remove plug from Wall. This should Re-set the unit. Now the set should be back to normal.
If it is still no go. Then you need to bring up the "Channels Menu, and scroll down to an Input and select the One that gives you a Picture, you can scroll through the inputs until, you see your signal. If getting signal from a decoder box, then the Input, will be an EXTERNAL one. If the Antenna goes straight into the TV, then you will use the "TV Channels" settings.
I have given you a Manual link, below, this will give you all the Info to sort this out.

SOURCE: My Pioneer PDP-4280HD Plasma -

Press the TV Guide button on the remote. Press Enter and a series of windows will  appear:
1 - press OK to begin the setup process.
2 - select country  - using up/down keys, press Enter, select Next using right key and press Enter (this selection procedure will  work for all the rest).
3 - for US you will need to select a ZIP code.
4 - select the source of the signal - cable or antenna (for all the rest)
5 - select the jack in which the source of the signal is plugged in
6 - select Yes and it's done.
Beware, it may take some time before the guide appears, it depend on how often it is broadcasted, on some channels it's only once in a day.

SOURCE: i have no sound through my surround sound when playing ps3

The optical audio out from the TV only works for the TV's tuner, probably. Hook-up optical from Cable/SAT and from PS3 boxes to DVD/Receiver.

Hi there,

I believe you have probably selected the wrong TV mode. It seems that you have set the TV to analog mode. It is common for the digital tuning option to be greyed out in analog mode and only becomes available in digital mode. Look for a button on your Sharp remote labelled "DTV" or "DIGITAL" and press this, then open the menu and try the digital setup again. If you don't have one of these buttons, look for a button labelled "INPUT" or "SOURCE" and look for an input or mode called digital or DTV.

I will check on the exact method for your TV and post back with the details shortly.

I have misplaced my owners phillips tv manual .I have moved my tv and need a manual to instruct me on how to re-tune my tv

Most tv's are as follows on your remote or tv hit the menu button, setup feature, signal type either cable or antenna make sure you select the correct signal type, the channel search and begin or start search. Select that option and it should begin to tune itself.

Hi i have hisence 42 inch tv will not tune in keeps saying no signal yet me old tv is fine

Hi there
I am assuming your new TV is now Digital. If so, it will be looking for a different signal to the old TV which was probably analogue. You may need a aerial upgrade/diagnostic to determine if you are recieving a digital signal. Or you can tune in the analogue channels, by switching the new TV to analogue, through the inputs/menu, and then i suggest autotune.
Hope this helps

Hi , I have a DMTECH WT17XTS.I need to retune the channels after the region has gone digital and the providers have re allocated channels. Can you help.LIke one of your other requests , I can not access the...

It seems like you might not be the only one in pickle over that TV. I tried to find a manual via Google and was frustrated for the most part. Seems this is a UK product - based on the search results I get. I did bump into one TELEVISION MAGAZINE as a PDF doc - which seems to tell of the same frustration...

(and I quote...)

With one generic multi-language
instruction leaflet supplied with some
equipment these days, things are
bound to confuse the user, or even the
installer. We recently had a call from
the proud owner of a DMTECH
WT17XTS LCD receiver who wished
to re-scan the digital channels to
receive the new ‘Dave’ service on
Freeview Channel 19. There was
virtually no reference to the DVB-T
function in the instruction manual
supplied. In fact, reading the booklet,
you would be hard pushed to tell
whether it was actually equipped to
receive digital broadcasts!
Analogue tuning was easy to carry
out: “Press the TV MENU button
(number 22 according to the handset
instructions) and follow the onscreen
prompts”. However, switching
to Freeview and pressing the TV
MENU button displayed the prompts
as anticipated but ‘SET UP’ and ‘PC’
were highlighted green, but the curser
would skip these selections.
Maybe somewhere along the line
these functions had become disabled
but all the electrical retail outlet (or
‘shed’ as they are often referred to)
from where it was purchased could
offer was, “there might be a security
code/parental lock but failing that
contact the manufacturer”. So much
for friendly after-sales help and
service these days!
The only reference to a security or
password code in the instruction
manual referred to the DVD facility so
that certain categories of DVD could
be made inaccessible from the younger
members of the family. Beneath this
instruction was a heading ‘Default’
which read: ‘If user selects the reset
from the setup menu, all the value of
set-up menu will be initialised by
factory setting value’.We got the gist of
what it meant but would the user?
Trawling through the
Troubleshooting section failed to shed
any light on the issue. In fact, it only
covered obvious simple problems and
gave virtually useless advice such as
‘No Colour in a colour picture –the
colour density is adjusted to 0 or
almost 0’. And so it went on….
At the bottom of the handset is
another button marked ‘MENU’ but
described in the instructions as
‘HOLD/PROGRAM’ (button
number 37) which, according to the
instructions, is assigned for ‘Teletext
Page/For playback in a specified
order’. It transpired that the button
also allows access to the digital
tuning menu but the instruction
booklet fails to tell the user this fact
or even make any reference to it!
Hopefully, viewers in Whitehaven
will have had better luck with their
instruction booklets!

XBox 360 to Reciever to TV via HDMI no sound

I recently got the same receiver and had the same problem. Here's what I was told - and it worked for me:

Even though HDMI cables carry audio and video, for whatever reason this reciever won't accept audio through hdmi. Apparently only much more expensive recievers carry audio through hdmi. What you have to do is run optical audio cables from your xbox, cable box, dvd player or other video device to the optical inputs on the back of the reciver. Then you customize the scene buttons to match your video and audio inputs.

You can get these optical cables pretty cheap on line or even at target. Don't get ripped off by Best Buy for these cables. I love best buy, but they rip off on cables!

This receiver is great - once I got it all figured out and running right I've loved it! Hope everything works out for you!
