Question about Panasonic AG-HVX200A Mini DV Camcorder
I have two Panasonic AG-HVX200, purchased from different stores, now neither one will play tapes while in VCR mode. both record perfectly fine, but not able to watch any tapes at all. Recorded tapes play back in mini dv deck & camcorder with no problem. All I see in VCR mode on the 200's: one has some solid blue horizontal lines (thick ones),the other 200 shows a solid blue screen in playback mode. any suggestions or is factory service the answer. both machines have been powered on for 900 hours & have been used for approx 500 hours play/rec time.
Your playback heads might be clogged. I am not sure if this camera with give you a RF warning if your record heads get clogged. Also most professional machines drums are rated at 1000 - 1500 hours before they need to be replaced. If you are at 500 and never cleaned the heads it is time to. Run a cleaning tape a few times.
