Question about Evesham Computers & Internet

1 Answer

Hi there, my viewsonic monitor VX912 is not getting a signal from my computer. I first checked to see if the connections were good. No joy ther! so I then tried to see if the cable was faulty(my monitor has two inputs:D-SUB a blue cable and DVI which has a white cable) by connecting my laptops TV-OUT port to my TVs PC port. Got a signal but then after a while a message came up saying "unsupported signal please set PC output" and then I lost the signal, so I guess the cable is fine?I did the same with my laptop, connected the TV-OUT port but this time to my monitor. The same thing happened, My monitor came on for a while and then went into standby, so the signal was lost. Does this mean so far that both the cable and the monitor work? Please Help!! Many ThanksMy e-mail address is:

Is your tv HD, it may have worked on the digital signal, but perhaps it switched to a HD program, and it doesnot support that HD signal, If not it may be a switching problem

Hi FixYa A query about my Viewsonic VA1932WMA screen. The screen works ok when the computer is on. However when I switch the computer off the screen starts displaying different colours - blue, red,...

If you have an older graphics card the signal will still be searching for a monitor. Contact Viewsonic and they will get you a non DDC adapter.

Good luck

There is a green light blinking abo the power button and the screen is black.

Unplug it from the mains, then try again. Does the screen show any sign of like (e.g. startup logo)?
Does the screen work on another computer?
Is the signal cable properly connected at both ends?
Does the PC work ok on another screen.
If still no joy, new ones are cheap - get a nice big one.

My 19 inch ViewSonic monitor shows red /voilet

Please check the VGA cable at both ends to make sure there are no bent pins and fit into the socket properly at both ends. Also try this monitor with other PC also since it can be in the video card.

Power button flashes but screen is blank except for very brief flashes of desktop image

hi, probably the transistors on the main power board. if these go bad, the capacitors should be replaced as well. repair shops charge 40-70 dollar to repair. i have repaired in past and they last maybe 2 more years after. may want to get another monitor and throw your up for sale broken on ebay.

Vx912 case removal I've taken off 4 mounting screws & 4 others in corners. Case still fixed firm. Don't want to break clips - where do I apply force please?

Please Note: all the LCD monitors are power packed with air pressing, you will need to pull the frame from front to remove the case, it is very simple and easy, just pull it softly with equal pressure on the corner.

DVI connection fault

I had the same problem, you must call Viewsonic to change your screen. The DVI input on the screen is dead.
