Reinstall Drivers
To re-install the wireless adapter’s drivers, you need to perform two steps:
Uninstalling the Previous Drivers
Step 1:
Click Start, All Programs or Programs, and look for the model number of the Linksys Wireless Adapter.
Step 2:
Look for Wireless Network Monitor and select Uninstall.
Step 3:
Wait for the Install Shield Wizard to complete before re-installing the drivers.
Reinstalling the Drivers
NOTE: Before re-installing the driver, unplug your LinksysWireless Adapter. If you’re using a wireless PCI adapter, shutdown thecomputer then remove the adapter.
The screenshots may vary depending on the model number of your wireless adapter. In this example, we’re using WUSB54GS v1.0
Step 1:
Insert the Linksys Setup CD into your CD-ROM drive.
Step 2:
Click Here to Start to begin the installation process.
Step 3:
Accept the License Agreement by clicking Next.
Step 4:
Insert the wireless adapter into your computer and click Next.
NOTE: Ifyou’re using a wireless PCI card shutdown your desktop PC and open yourPC’s case. Locate an available PCI slot on the motherboard then poweron your PC.
Step 5:
When Linksys Wireless Network Monitor appears, select the name of your wireless network or SSID and click Connect. If you want to configure the adapter manually, click Manual Setup.
NOTE: To check if the drivers were properly installed, checkif the Linksys Wireless Network Monitor reports the Adapter is Active.For instructions, click here.
NOTE: If you were not able to install the Linksys adapter drivers, you need to update the drivers.
Update the Drivers
To update the wireless adapter’s drivers, you need to perform three steps:
Downloading the Drivers
Step 1:
Before downloading the drivers, make sure your computer has an activeInternet connection. If your computer is plugged directly into therouter and cannot get online, disconnect your router and plug yourcomputer directly into your cable or DSL modem.

Once online, click here to go to the Linksys Downloads page..
