It depends what kind of router/dsl u have and usb stick or pci card , if u use from the both brands than its easy to install, first the modem/router you should configure it good in the gateway (192.168.1.1) or something like that u should look in the manuel, than install the software for the stick or pci card than install, than it should work fine

What type of wireless security are you using? Some dumb devices (non-computer/Wii/Nintendo DS) cannot connect to routers using certain security methods. Try temporarily turning off your wireless security from the router or switching from WPA to WEP or vice versa. This should help you narrow down the problem.
Also, make sure your router is broadcasting the SSID, some devices don't handle unbroadcast SSIDs very well.

My msi iu100 is no longer able to use our wireless router at home. all the other computers in the home are able to access wireless fine. The msi worked with wireless router at another location. ???

How far is the MSI from the Wi-Fi router? Maybe the distance or some walls between your MSI and the router is the problem. If it is possible check with another computer at the position that MSI can not connect to Wi-Fi.

WEAK signal :-( How do I extend the distance or wireless reach.

Either look into getting bigger (higher gain) antennas for your router, or get bigger/stronger antennas for your PC's.

Other than repositioning the existing antennas or putting the router higher up in the air, there isn't much you can do.

Router issues in my apartment.

When to moved into the penthouse, there are more walls between the wireless router and the laptop in the bedroom. The walls are probably reinforced concrete walls which will stop or weaken the radio waves penetrating into different rooms. When you lived in a house this was not a problem.
The only way to solve this problem is to move the wireless router near an opening such as a door and move the laptop as close as possible to the wireless router to get a better signal strength.
The outer way is to install a wireless repeater or connect a long network cable to the router and the laptop.

Distance from TX to RX possible too great

There are a couple more questions
  1. Is it a removable antenna on the wireless router e.g. 5db or 7db gain. you could just get better antennas to increase signal strength for distance.
  2. E-bay has a linear antenna you assemble with a usb wireless network adapter attached.

this is common problem in online gaming.... it is always recommended to have your console hardwired to the router.....your is either too far away, another wireless device is affecting it (cordless phone close to the wireless router can cause interference), your wireless net work is not secured enabling any one close to your house to get on your network which inturn will slow you down, or you may need to get range boost anntanas depending on the router you have and that you can do that type of upgrade...or you mat need a super g or n router for greater distance.

Wont install

I have only tried this on Windows XP. If you can connect to the web using a hard line you can get this running. Make sure you have internet. Then plug the wireless adapter into the usb port and when windows ask if it can search the internet say yes. That will install a driver for the wusb54gc. Then windows will manage the device. Linksys only has the option to download the installer as opposed to just the driver. What a pain when the installer doesn't work.
