I recently sent my xbox in to be repaired. (mind you it is only 3 months old) When it came back there was a letter attached saying that my unit was unrepairable so they replaced my unit. The problem is that now my gamer profiles are both corrupted. I've never sonnected to xbox live so I cannot recover my gamertags that way.... Does anyone know how to fix this problem???

to recover the gamertag

The problem you are facing is due to a corrupt profile, do not delete your current profile, just create a new gamer tag profile on the same xbox 360 and download the media update from Xbox Live, you would be able to play DivX movies again offline.
Before you create the new gamer tag, delete the old instance of media update downloaded earlier to play DivX movies
I faced similar problem, it got resolved after creating a new gamer tag.
Coruption is what it is can you fix it? Well if you a data recovery expert sure but if your not the no. corupted files happen when the unit is shut down without a proper shut down protocal or when a hard drive is at it end of life. You can recover the profile but un-corupt it is not even a word I had to make that one up so you can understand it would take many many hours to do. what you do is unplug your xbox and then unplug the power and if you have one a cooler system then blow on the ends to clear the dust then plug it back in and it should come up with a pop-up saying corrupted profile fixed ;]
try to clean up the disk and listen for any odd sounds when your xbox is spinning up the disks. If they work in friends xboxs but not yours im assuming its your xbox. Is it only when you use your profile? Do you have a parental block on some games? ned a little more info please and thank you
I have heared that if you just delete the profile, just the profile, everything will be just fine (note: This only works if your profile is on xbox live). Just go to memor, then go into the saving device the corrupted profile is on. Then "click" on the botton that says profile and delete the corrupted profile. Remember; the profile will be a small save and not taking up most of your harddrive, look for something with MB size, not GB size. When you have done this, go to "recover gamertag" and do so for the profile you just deleted. After all this, your game saves and achivements should be present and working.
