By VGA I assume you mean the GPU or graphics processor. Unfortunately unless you have a very high end Laptop this would not be upgradeable. Looking at the specs for this Laptop it has a ATI Mobility Radeon X2500 graphics card, not a bad card.

Hello what model is your acer, you just pointed out it was an acer aspire one net book theres different models, however your best bet is when you do find out what model your acer aspire one is, go to google type in your model number then the webcam driver and the operating system which is windows 7, for example: acer aspire one netbook zg5 windows 7 webcam driver.
If your stuck just add what model number your acer aspire one net book is and i will be happy to help you out.
Unfortunately, you can NOT upgrade your net-book Acer Aspire One with a Graphics card. Some Acer Laptops have this feature, with a graphics card already installed or with a graphics card integrated into the system board. If you want to have a laptop with higher graphics power, buy a laptop from Acer with the "G" ending, like the Acer Aspire 8940G for example.

Have you tried to go online to the windows update? Go there and choose custom install after the scan, then click on the optional upgrades and look for a graphics upgrade and choose install, windows will download and install the new driver....actually, while you are in there let windows get all the hardware updates that are available.
The 256MB graphics currently shown in your PC is on board graphics which is most probably shared by the RAM. Its not actually graphics card. And the performance is very poor compared to actual graphics card or GPU (Graphics processing Unit). There is nothing that can to done to improve performance other to add an actual GPU.
