Hi My computer came up with a mesage telling that my computer needed to re boot because Bit Torrent had crashed.
I had down loaded some movies some of which I was able to tend to my flash drive.
Bit Torrent saved the movies on My hard drive C/ Documents/downloads
I did try to delete the files and each time that I went to try to deleat the Download folder or contents A WINDOWS EXPLORER message comes up . I have spent some time trying to deleat the files . Each time the same thing happens advised of errors. That is one part of the problem .
I then decided to try to format the drive . I then tried to place the recovery in the cd drive Each time it loads it sits on 40% of copying files in the recovery mode.
Is this due to a fault on the hard drive . do you think .
Any Help Tony Cumming

When you get the blue screen, try to remove those newly installed components. If not solve, second option is to restore your windows through windows restore and the last option, is to reformat and try to install again the windows.
did you change some setting from the bios if no then your operating system is no longer exist on your pc some of the windows boot file is corrupt or crash you need to install windows again tell me which windows version you are using.and tell me some detail of your pc with operating system and model.in this manner i help you batter regards BilalSharif I.T.
Your downloads are to be found when you log in again to Bit Torrent as long as they are still in your computer in the same place. Before you format find your downloads location and the location of the Torrent file.
Copy them to a memory stick and then replace them in the same folder after format. Re-install bit comet and log on and they should be in your list. Fully install Bit Comet and Emule if you were using it before you start but replace the files before you do that.
I would use limewire for that. It's free and fast. If you need to use bit torrent, you need to find a torrent host, such as www.thepiratebay.org, or Torrent reactor. Then you click on it chose open and bit torrent should open. Then wait until it downloads. Don't use this to down load copy write protected music or software. The anti piracy people will come and hunt you down.
are you using the recovery cd that came with the package or a program installed on your pc to restore it to factory default? try the recovery cd, and if it still wont boot to that, it might be that the cd is defective. try booting to a known good OS cd.
You may have to resort to re-formatting your computer and restoring it to day one. You might have gotten a virus that hijacked your computer. One way to check is bootup in safe mode and try sustem restore. Also in the boot up page just after your bios boot, see if there is an option available to select called " Boot to last known working configuration"
might have to get a higher wattage power supply,
the initial amperage draw plus everything else may be causing the stock power supply volts to dip past the limit
maybe download the intel active monitor and study that, or hook up a voltmeter and watch the output at startup.
It is highly unlikely its a crash......two operating systems cannot....CANNOT crash similtaneously. Its impossible! unless the hard drive you run both on is faulty BUT you wouldnt get Windows to load. Not even for a bit....you say all lights will stay if they were lit up but they some how dont stay on.........I think
thats what you mean.........then you say you checked again and there were rectangles that look like a book that stopped blinking yet the power lite stayed on....Im at a lost But I dont think its a crash......only software crash it might be a hardware pronlem....
