Re: photoshop cs3 install problem
First of all follow the instructions on this kb file: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315346
If you have previously installed cs3 you may have some residual files from the previous install still lurrking in the system files and registry which need removing. Or it may be that your cs3 installer files have become corrupt. to check this simply, do a file copy of the installer. If it copies ok it is likely not corrupted.

Here is how to crack Photoshop CS3 and get rid of the trial period: 1) Complete the installation as usual 2) Go to \\Adobe\\Adobe Photoshop CS3\\AMT 3) Rename the file called application.sif to application.sif_
Remove your previous adobe cs3 installation first. Go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs. Click Adobe CS3 then click Remove/Uninstall button then click OK. Reboot your computer then reinstall the Adobe CS3. If it cannot remove the previous installation, use "ccleaner" for that. Drop me a comment if you don't know what to do with ccleaner.
Unfortunately the "official" word is out. Photoshop 7.0, 7.0.1 is not compatible with Apple's newest Operating System, Leopard (10.5).
Adobe Photoshop versions CS (8.0) CS2 (9.0) and CS3 (10.0) do run in Leopard but may have some issues. The only suggestion I have for you is either revert back to Tiger (10,4) or upgrade your Photoshop to CS3.
Adobe offers a discounted upgrade price from 7.0, CS1, CS2 to CS3 for $199. That's a lot
better then paying the full retail price of $649.00. I wish I had a better suggested solution for you. You're not alone on this one.
