Make sure the "write protect" switch on the SD card is in the off possition, power off the camera and remove the battery for a minute or two, return the battery and SD card and power up the camera, see how you go.

Kind regards and Merry Christmas

What I understand from your question that you want to reset the settings(correct me if I am wrong).
The simple way to do it is :-
1. Swithcoff the camera
2.take out your memory card
3. Swith on the camera
4. Go to setup and select reset.
Now your camera is in Default settings. Your can start from begining

If camera is the Fuji in title, it should support one GB memoryy card, test the card on a different device, the SD card may be defective.

Take off the battery to reset the camera, then put them back, and try switching the mode selector from video to single picture mode. If it still does not switch, then there is an internal error, probably a defective mode selector , or a fault on the main board.
In this case the camera must be taken apart and inspected by a technician to fix the problem.

Hi i have an finepixa350 digital camara , i had lost the xd picture card the came with it so i got an Olympus xd m+ 2bg card and it keeps coming back "card error" help!

Your problem is that you have purchased an incompatible memory card.

The largest capacity xD card which your camera can use is 1GB, but it works better with a maximum of 512MB as 1GB can make the camera operations a little sluggish.

There are no updates to enable your camera to use the latest xD cards as the limitation is a hardware issue due to evolving technology.

You therefore only have two fixes: replace the xD card with a maximum 1GB capacity (but preferably 512MB), or replace your camera with one of the recent models which accepts the 2GB xD card.

I hope that I have provided you with a clear explanation and practical options to fix your problem. Please take a moment to rate the free answer I have provided for you and any testimonial which you might wish to add is always welcome!

Can I buy a memory card for my camera?

yes. search for these types: *OLYMPUS D-435 Olympus xD-Picture Card / xD Card 1GB (Type M)

*
OLYMPUS D-435 Olympus 2GB xD-Picture Card / xD Card (Type M)

these are the compatible storage cards for your camera.

Changing memory settings

the camera allows for 8 pics to be taken using its internal memory (IN). If you want to be able to get more images than that you can purchase an xD picture card that gets inserted to the camera that will allow for more images to be taken and stored. The camera more than likely supports 1gb or 2gb capacities of xD cards.

My new memory card will not work for the Olympus Camedia D-560

The problem is that the largest xD card that your camera can support is an M or H 512mb card. The 1gb card is not compatible. The firmware in the camera cannot support memory storage with that capacity. The camera came out before those cards did and there no plans to upgrade the camera to allow those types of cards to be supported.

Memory card

Fuji uses 16MB xD card with the camera, which won't hold too many 4 Megapixel photos at the highest quality setting. So you should plan on buying a larger card right away. xD cards are currently available as large as 1GB, and I think 128MB is a good starter size for most people. Be warned that xD cards tend to be more expensive than CompactFlash and SD cards.

you can buy a memory card that suites your camera ( xD, sD, MMC) you should see your camera manual to find what type of those memory cards works with it, then transfer the images to the card. after that, you can buy a memory card reader for cheep from best buy or whatever store and transfer images to PC easily.
