Sounds like the element is not engaging. Do you have volt ohm meter?

Possibly, A thermal fuse located in the heater element circut could burn out. the CIrcut would show full voltage to the element but no heat out. Often there is also an auto reset high limit swich this could be out also opr instead of the fuse. THE FUSE IS ALWAYS LOCATED WHERE IT CAN "SEE" the elements. I E Inside the case where the elements are.

Is the thermal fuse connected directly to the element. Also if it is not that what else could it be.

Furnance comes on but the air stop getting cold just blows air ....what could be the problem

It sounds like it could either be low on refrigerant or the compressor has stopped working. Start by verifying that all the breakers and controls are in the on position. If the outdoor unit is running but you have no cold air, you may need a HVAC company at this point.

My furnance (Amana 90) will not work when it's extremely cold outside. I have checked and replaced the flame sensor. I've checked the pressure switch. The furnance is a champ at all times other than...

Since it only does this in extremely cold times is there any chance that your drain line from the condensate drain is passing thru a space cold enough to freeze it. Good luck and thank you.

Furnance not heating

Make sure that the thermostat is set for the proper medium that you are using being gas or electric. Inside the cover of the thermostat should be a setting for either eletrical heat or gas heat. Set this switch for what your system is G for gas or E for eletric. This may solve your problem. Good Luck hope this helped you some
