A95 digital camera viewing screen blurry & pink!

Old pictures on memory card are alright but new pictures cannot be made or viewed. New batteries, all features used with no success. Camera is 4 years old! We love it! Help!

    Hello,
I have the same problem. But this is the second time, last year too I had the same problem of images getting blurred and Canon replaced the CCD free of cost. But just 2 days before same symptoms cropped up again. But now Canon Service Centre guy is saying that as CCD is replaced this is not a CCD problem, but something to do with Inner Shutter and the Optical Part required to be changed which would cost Approx 6500. Now I really doubt, if its really the problem of Camera (as the service centre guy just commented without even opening the camera) or its a CCD problem again and now Canon is not ready to replace it the second time.
I love this Camera and don't want to just throw it away in junk. Can you let me know some other solution. Will it help if I can somehow send you the (faulty) pictures and you let can tell the difference, if its CCD problem or its a Inner Shutter problem?

Hello,
It is problem of ccd imager and requires replacement of that part in your Canon A95 to see clear view.
Canon will replace that part free of cost as per announced scheme.
Click Canon CCD Advisory for details.
Good luck.

Trying to buy a new memory card and it will not work in camera yet I have put 3 old different brands in it and I could view my pictures.

Check your new memory card in a computer, using a memory card reader (they ares cheap), Should open jut like a pendrive, as removable disk..
If won't open, your new card is bad.

Try formatting the memory card - go to the camera's menu to format the memory card.

My DSC W90 is 4 years old -- I love it -- and I've never had problem -- with it until now. It rotates pictures on its own! When I view the pix that I've JUST taken, they look fine. When I turn...

Hello,

If you have an exceptional amount of pictures on your camera...This could be a simple problem solver? You need to remove some or all your of your pictures from your camera to create more memory and storage.

You have a couple of options

Save all your pictures to memory card, from the memory card save to your computer in a file or to a USB Flash Drive (Cruzer), or on a CD/DVD disk.

Or, install a new Memory card that has more Storage Capabilities.

You need to check your setting as to how the pictures are viewed and stored, it's possible you have your camera set to auto rotate and also auto set format...change these settings to manual!

Kind regards!

Canon powershot s2 IS suddenly does nothing when powered on

There appears to be an issue with the S2 IS after two years.  See the reviews on Canon's website: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=322&modelid=11368#ModelDetailAct

If yours is two years old then you are probably out-of-luck.  It would probably cost more to repair than to simply replace.

You can at least save your photos by removing the memory card and reading the files using a memory card reader on a PC or MAC.

New memory card.

See if there is a copy feature in menus where you can internally copy from internal memory to card-kodaks and some other manufs offer this feature-i would offload internal pics w/usb to computer and then just start using new card-get a memory card reader also and you can put from comp back to memory card w/reader-no need normally to format new memory card-just don't format internal or you will lose pics

Canon A75 No startup sound & display on LCD, rest of things works fine

Think it might be your batteries. 700mah batteries are pretty weak by today's standards (most are at least 2,500 mah these days). I'm guessing your batteries are several years old? If so, they're really only meant to have a usable shelf life of a few years, whether they are used or not. Recommend trying a new set of rechargeable batteries.

Can view memory card but wont power up to take pics

Try using brand new fully charged rechargeable batteries like NiMH or NiCd. Also try viewing though the computer via USB.

hi try with a new battery You might try using a new, clean memory card to see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, it's most likely a processor or main board failure. windman
