Question about Fujitsu 18C1 Air Conditioner

1 Answer

Wall Hung A/C unit remote control # AR-DL10 batteries died last. Replaced remote batteries with 4 new duracell batteries. Unit came back on but running to warm. I tried to figure out the programming of the remote but can not get it to even swing the louver. This cools a computer server room that needs to cool down soon. Looked for remote mannual online but could not find one. Please help me get this remotre working. At present I tried to set it to 64 degrees. That usually kept the room at 70. I keep pushing buttons and the remote will change but the wall hung unit will not respond to its commands. Jack (Facitities Director for Paulsboro School District in NJ)

I have exactly the same problem! Still searching for a solution. Cheers.

Having changed the batteries in remote, hit ACL and reset the remote's time, it is unable to communicate with the air con unit at all. Other remotes can still activate the air con but not this one.

Does anyone have a link to manual?

I just got onto a technician who solved the problem for me. What he had me do was:-

  1. Pull dowwn the slider and use a pen to press the ACL button.
    That didn't fix it so...
  2. Take off the slider (the way you would to change the batteries). There is an ABCD slider switch and mine was set to "C". I moved it back to "A" and now it works! I am not sure how it got to "C" though ???
The other thing is I had been messing around with the "Manual/Auto" button under the grill on the wall unit. It was set so that the A/C was off. I'm not sure if that is significant.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

I have a model AR-DL10 remote. One of the batteries corroded , installed new ones and now the unit will not respond. What should I do?

Pull the new batteries and clean the terminals. If cleaning don't work the corrosion may have damaged the remote. Use a PC of sand paper, or scratch the surface that the batteries touch.

Why doesn't remote control communicate with Fischer heat pump mini split system

It sounds like the batteries leaked and oxidized the terminals. If you cannot get them clean enough then I would suggest getting a new reomote from the manafacturer.

Fujitsu remote control Model AR-DL10. I need to change the batteries. I can pull the slide down to expose the set/ swing/ energy save, but I think I have to pull it further down to get to the batteries. ...

How to get to the batteries in a AR-DL 10 Model Fujitsu Remote Control/ A/C

Pull it down to expose the controls inside.
To pull it down further to expose the batteries: PINCH BOTH SIDES OF THE slider at the top where it is knurled so it will bow out a little bit in the center AT the same time you may need to
slide an object under the slider to help it bow up a litter further.
WHILE DOING THIS: pull the slider further to expose the batteries. There are two plastic stops that the slider must clear to pull it down enough to get the new batteries placed. Before putting it back together: File down the two stops with a nail file so it is easier to do next time. - Who engineered this?

Chamberlain Whisper drive remote control unit not working

THE NEW REMOTE MAY NOT BE THE CORRECT SYSTEM FOR THE UNIT YOU HAVE.
THE ONE THAT DOESN'T WORK MOST LIKELY NEEDS A NEW BATTERY.
NOTE IT MUST BE REPROGRAMED AFTER CHANGING THE BATTERY

HOPE THIS HELPS

Remote unit slides open but cant find battery cover-model AR-DL10

When sliding the bottom part of the remote down, you have to lift it slightly (I did this with a letter opener - very carefully) to pry the door up from two stops that normally prevent the dorr from sliding down too far. If you look carefully, you can see what I mean.
