By default, this Aspire 3000 supports only windows XP. Running something else, might cause trouble.

If above doesn't work, start the notebook up in safe mode and uninstall any driver that has been installed already. Reboot. Download and install registry cleaners and driver cleanup tools (free ones) and repair the registry and clean it. Then re-try to install the driver above.

is there any other way to solve the audio problem? after i install win xp sp3 in my acer aspire 5550,i get stuck in installing audio driver.i have download the driver from many website even in acer.com, but still cant solve it..please give me some idea..
