Remote not working

My remote isn't working properly, I'm not sure if its not sending a signal or it could be something else. It was working fine until I acidentally pushed stop on my player and when I went to play it again the remote wouldn't do anything. I know the battery is not dead because I havent had it for very long, and the battery is in properly. It just stopped working.

There is a way to test the remote contorl. get a radio and put it on the am section. aim the remote control towards the radio and push the buttons on the remote. if it is working, you should be able to hear some statics from the radio speakers. try it and let me know. if you do not hear statics, they you need to open it and clean it with rubbing alcohol. use q tips to do clean the button on the board but be careful not to put any alcohol on the rubber buttons from the inside, it will ruin the finish on that. it will destroy your remote. good luck.

Another idea is to order the original replacement remote control for this remote, which you should probably do if you've found out that the above solution resulted in negative results. A good site that offers original replacement remote controls is http://www.remotecontrolscenter.com. I hope that helps with your problem!

I bought an RCA smart tv and it was working fine until I picked up the RCA remote to change channels and now I get "no signal" on my TV screen. How do I fix this?

What was going on before you picked up the remote? Did the remote work OK to initially turn on the TV? Where you able to change channels prior to this issue? If yes, then maybe you accidently changed the source mode of the TV via the remote?

The source mode button chooses what signal you want to use for getting a signal transmitted to your TV (E.g., antenna, HDMI, etc.) If the source button is clicked to something that is not supported (E.g., Line1, or Line2, or Line3, or a particular source like the antenna option is not set-up properly to receive a signal, then you will receive a, "no signal" message".

Vizio remote suddenly not working

The first thing is to test the remote: some digital cameras will if on and the remote pointed at them react on screen to the signal when buttons are pressed.

Also almost every tv shop or Radio Shack has a remote tester--point the remote at it and push any button and a strip or indicator on the tester will light up----tells you if remote is sending a signal or not.

If remote tests good---remote infrared receiver is likely bad in the set or something near it is bad.

My dream multimedia remote is not working. It was working fine until I dropped it. The green light does not flash on the dream 500-S box.I tried changing to new batteries still does not work. I even tried...

Hello,

I am sorry that you dropped your remote. Most likely you broke something in it when it dropped. There is only a couple things you can do. Number one, make sure battery in the remote did not get loose. If you have checked that real good then it most likely is something on the circuit board that got loose. You could also take it into a regular computer repair store or tv repair store as those kind of places (electronic shops) might be able to fix it.

Other option is a few sites I am listing below ( links to copy and past in browser) and you can read them and find your unit and order another one.

I have Jensen cd player but I wanna hook up a amp and it doesnt work even with the RCA plugs isn't sending signals?

Have you checked all the power wires and fuses for the amp. Have you made sure to connect the remote turn on lead properly. There are a number of things. On your next post, go through the steps of your amp install.

The remote does not operate the central locking

More then likely it is your remote that is broken. it dose send more then one signal to the car each button you press sends a different signal that is interpreted by the vehicle. Because some of your buttons work and other do not I would suggest having your remote checked, you can take it back to a dealership or to a auto-zone and they will be able to check your remote to make sure that it is not broken.

I hope this helped.

Thank you,

Wii curser or pointer jumps around

There are a few conditions that you need to check:

  • Batteries fully charged or at full power
  • Wii remote is aligned properly.
If the batteries are dying, that might be a cause of the jumpiness because it'll have trouble maintaining a signal lock with the sensor.

Make sure you have the sensor in the right place (above or below the TV as you specify in the settings).

Make sure you have the Wii remote sensitivity settings correct too. All of these things are in the settings menu.

Remote ineffective.

If you have a video camera with a night vision setting, wait until dark, turn out the lights and turn the camera onto night vision and look the the remote. When you press the buttons on the remote does the small led transmitter on the front ligh up. If so the remote is working but possibly sending the incorrect signals.

I bought a video signal transmitter to send my paytv to another tv in a different room.Every thing works well except the remote. The remote works well in front of the box not in front of the tv.

Hi RUMAC

That's the problem with AV resenders. You cant get the remote back to the box in the other room. There are systems of remote control resender that you can set up to do this for you. It has a receiver in the room you are sending to, and an LED remote picks up the remote control signal then bounces it by UHF radio signal to the other room, and then beams the infrared signal to the front of the to the paytv box from the remote transmitter end.

This is the type of product I am talking about, available from Jaycar in Australia. I am sure that you would be able to find something the same wherever you are in the world. Any questions, happy to help. A FixYa rating is a great reward for my time to research this for you. Cheers

Remote control no longer responds for Konka K2001UM

You can test the remote by holding it very close to an AM radio receiver and pushing the buttons on the remote. You may have to tune the radio accross the AM bamd to pick up the remote's signal. You should hear a popping sound each time a button is pressed. You need to hold the remote near the tuner of the AM radio. If you can't pick up a signal then you need to replace the remote. If you do pick up a signal then possibly the remote receiver in your TV is bad or the remote is not putting out the proper IR signal. Stargazer
