Can I replace an IC chip on a Hitachi buffer board(part number ND60200-0048) or do I have to replace the entire buffer board?

Replacing the board would be best. You can replace the IC chip but there was a reason the chip burned out. You would need to diagnose the board and find the cause of the short that killed that chip and replace the other parts before you replaced the IC chip. By the time you do this you could have purchased the new board. If you are an experienced repair tech then it may be worth the repair but just for a user then no its not. Ebay has that board available from several sellers for less than $50.

It is an audio power amplifier IC. You can replace it very easly. It can be bought from most of the electronic spare part selling shops and won't cost more. For more details about this IC, click here. A pdf file can be downlaoded.

No picture and burning smell from left side

Bad COF ic on buffer board. Can usually tell which one's bad. It will look overheated or a hole in top of ic. Look at upper and lower buffer boards to see which ic is bad. Can get from Encompas Parts, Recommended replace y sustain with buffer.

Tv powers on get a white bar with black stripes on the side and when I hit buttons on the remote control more colored bars come up. Has anyone had this problem before and fixed it

My first guess would be the Y-sus board, check for blown fuses, also the buffer board check ic and look for chip on buffer ics down the left side of the set in back.

I have a hitachi p50s602 that flashes a blue light code 6 times. any idea what it is calling out?

no power / dead unit / comes on and protects itself, power led may blink in 3 or 4 times cycles.
check/confirm sdr buffer ics are not shorted, if so, replace affected sdr pwb. The buffer ic are on the side of you set in the back once it's removed(cover).

What does the ic 406 and. The ps401 and 402 look like or where could I find them in my sony projection tv. The red light is blinking 8 times

Ic 406 is the audio amp ic. It is on the signal board, that's the one with the tuner on it. It's mounted on an aluminum heat sink with fins on it. It's all by itself. 401 & 402 are small pico fuses normally black in color and you can't tell by looking at them if they are bad. You have to use a continuity checker or an ohm meter. The signal board board does not have the transformer with the red leads coming out of it.

Faulty JVC PLASMA DISPLAY MONITOR model number GM-P420E Left side has a black line approx' 6-8cm wide from top through to bottom. How can this be repaired?

Does it have a buffer board? If so, check the IC burnt on the buffer board. If bad, replace the buffer board. Check the flexible connector exactly below or above the black line. Is it inserted correctly? Does it have an IC on the flexible cable? Is it brunt? If so, you need a panel. If the buffer board is OK, then you will need a panel
