Question about Panasonic Panafax UF-885 Plain Paper Laser Fax

Memory filling quickly when faxing

I sent many documents at a time. Usually i can sent like 30 faxes at once and they save to memory and it dials one at a time and thats it. Recently i can only sent like 5 at a time and then a memory full screen pops up. I checked the settings, they all look normal and made sure nothing needed to be printed. Any suggestions?

you can try a flash memory clear that might also help.

or a shipment set but that will erase all data.

Cant send fax out. getting a message exceeded job memory. How do I clear this

Dear
As the model is not mentioned its difficult to right solution. But in general when a document sent from memory some times this happen. This is frequent if memory recieved is more and not printed.
Its cleared on printing all memory recieved or memory cleared(all received fax will deleted).
Also sending fax manually may be done.I.e.Dial the fax no.get the fax tone load the document press start or send. Also in setting the scanning resolution may be minimised up to150/200dpi for less memory.
Thanks.

Are you able to print out a fax that was sent out approximately 6 months ago

No. Not from a fax machine. Some faxes have the ability to store sent faxes but this feature caused more problems with memory filling up than it solved. So, the machine usually deleted the job after a short period and it is extremely unlikely that your sent document is anywhere near your fax now. Not a stupid question though.

Unable to enter faxes while the machine is either sending or rece

turn off

Real Time Transmission
When you are sending a fax, the machine will scan originals into memory before
sending. Then, as soon as the phone line is free, the machine will start dialing and
sending the fax. If memory becomes full, the machine will send the document in real
time (even if REAL TIME TX is set to OFF).
Sometimes you may want to send an important document immediately, without
waiting for memory transmission. You can set REAL TIME TX to ON.
1 Place the original face down in the ADF.
2 Press Menu, 2, 2, 6.
3 To change the default setting, and then
press or to select ON (or OFF) and
then press Set. Go to Step 5—OR—For
the next fax transmission only, press or to select NEXT FAX ONLY,
and then press Set.
4 For the next fax only, press or to select ON (or OFF), and then press Set.
5 Press 1 if you want to select additional settings. The LCD returns to the SETUP SEND
menu—OR—Press 2 if you are finished choosing settings, and then go to Step 6.
6 Enter fax number and then press Fax Start.

If you sending the fax over the memory, fax can scann doc. while dialing, or in the same time, but if you sending directly (on-hook dial) fax is sending the document while beeing reeded.

You may try to check the phone lines, browse the documents before sending, clean the original document feed rollers,...
if fax sudenly stops and wrinkle the orig. documents there is problem in scanner area

Is there a way to program it to fax to a group of numbers at one time

You can use the "Broadcast " feature to send one fax to up to 112 numbers listed in your speed dial. To set this up:
  1. Insert the original into the ADF.
  2. Press Quick Scan/Reports. The display should show how much memory is available.
  3. Enter the One-Touch or Speed Dial numbers for the recipients you want to send to (one after the other). You can also setup a group dial number.
  4. Press Fax Start. The machine will scan the document into memory and then dial all the numbers you've entered. If any are busy it will attempt to redial.
  5. Press Stop/Exit at any time to cancel the broadcast.
If you need further instruction on how to setup group or speed dial numbers, Brother provides the user manual online.

Hope this helps!

FAxing in "real time" rather then sending to memory

You can go into the setup mode. There should be either a memory clear which will reset it to default settings, or a setting to simply reset.
You can go into the menu on the machine and print out a help sheet which will help you through the problem.
And there should be a settings sheet to print out that will help you isolate which setting needs changed.
