Question about HP Computers & Internet

1 Answer

HP All in One printer causing problems with my computer.

I recently bought a hp c4400 all in one printer and it wouldn't print from the computer, nor would it scan anything into the computer. I have tried uninstalling it but it won't uninstall. I have tried everything I know. I even went as far as to try to restore my comp but the earliest I can restore it is to the date I installed the all in one. I tried my recovery disk, same thing, I can only recover back to the date the printer was installed! Is is possible that the software that came with the printer is corrupt? Even my antivirus won't work.

Yes, It is possible that the setup disk is corrupt/virus infected. First try to update your antivirus. Then use Revo unistaller to uninstall the software. Now download fresh setup files from HP site. That will solve your porblem

We purchased a HP Photosmart C4400 series last December 2009. I have just put in a new black ink cartridge and the printer is not printing the black properly, it still very faded. I have put in the correct...

Black printer ink in HP Photosmart may fail to be recognized by the printer. Most times an error message will be sent indicating that something is wrong with the black print cartridge. Sometimes the printer may accept to print with the black ink, but the printouts may have horizontal lines and very illegible letters. In such a case a manual cleaning of the print head should be carried out. In doing the manual cleaning, one should spray Windex heavily on paper towel and wipe off the surface of the print head.

I recently bought this damn c4400 all in one hp photosmart printer.....man i am getting really mad....it will not install ......it said it installed correctly...i go to print and it tells me this printer...

If you bought it recently, it should be compatible with Vista. It should say on the box if you still have it. Unplug the printer. Try completely uninstalling all the HP software you just installed, then reboot your PC. Go to HP's website and download the latest driver/software package for this model. This could take a while, some of these files are huge. Make sure that when you install the software that you just downloaded, you leave the printer unplugged until it asks you to plug it in. Good luck.
