Question about Whirlpool 25.6 cu. ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with In-Door-Ice Dispensing System
Several days ago, I opened the refridgerator on my 4 yr old whirlpool gold series side by side fridge. The light blew out. Not a problem originaly since the light lasted 4 yrs. The next day I realized there seemed to be no power at all to the setting indicator lights and filter status light that is also housed within the same unit as the light. I then changed the light and it will not work. Since the fridge freezer seems to be working fine, i assume it is a fuse but don't know where to look. First thought is that it may be within the door open switch that could have gone bad? Is it as simple as replacing the door open light switch?
Turns out we had a bad control board. One of the coponets was blown and it had to be replaced. $400.00 and its good as new.
