If you have a floppy drive it is a narrow slot in the front of your pc. If it is a newer pc, then most likely you do not have one as they are obsolete now.

What troubles are you having / what is asking for a floppy?

What kind of lame answers are these? Yes, newer laptops and PC usually do not sprot floppy drives any longer, flsh drives have replaced those as well as the Zip drives. But, there are still lots of people with tons of floppy disks in their closets -- So, the answer to this is to buy an external USB floppy drive that can be used to read and retrieve floppy data. Simply plug the small, flat drive into one of your USB ports and you are in business to either retrieve you r Grandma's pictures or yours. Guess what, you can get one of thes external floppy dirves for under $20 from Amazon, Ebay, or Tiger Direct and others. They may be obsolete but that has not lessened the amount of floppy drive inventory for sale. Good luck, and come on people if you don't have a constructive answer, keep it to yourself.

Can't find drivers for mitsumi floppy drive D3553FUE

floppy drives are installed on most newer operating systems. When installing a floppy drive, you do have to be certain the floppy driver is enable in the system BIOS. That is generally the problem when you cannot get a computer to recognize a floppy dirve.

Is there software to install memorex floppy for pc with vista

No. floppys are rarely used. Vista uses only dvds to install the operating system. However Vista is supportive of a floppy so you can move small files on and off the system. If you are also asking if you need software to install a floppy the answer is no.

I am now unable to access a floppy disk that I had been able to access for years. I now get an error message that tells me the disk has no ID address mark. How do I fix this?

Try changing the stting switch on the disk. I think it is for formatting or something like that. Try moving it to the opposite direction and then put it in your computer again ;) Good Luck

Windows Pro XP will not recognize external floppy drive made by Smartdisc. I was given a Dell C8xx floppy drive, however it requires a special cable connector and not a USB

Check Ebay for the proper cable for the Dell floppy drive. Only a few dollars and plenty of them. All of the floppy cable will work on your C800. Note: the floppy cable is not the same as the CD cable. They do not interchange. You must get a floppy cable.
XP will recognize a USB floppy once XP is installed, but you won't be able to boot from it to install XP since the USB drivers aren't installed until Windows is installed.

Can I install a Mitsumi d359m3 floppy in my HP Pavilionj M9517c?

Yes. There is a floppy drive connector on the motherboard that is in your HP Pavillion M9517c, which means you can indeed install a floppy drive if you wish.

Asking to format

If this is a new floppy then its advisable to format it.

But if it has been formated before and the message still comes on then ignore it.

Also if you're denied access (Copy or Read) to the floppy then please reinstall the drivers and the floppy drive again using the installation manual
