Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, pls try:

  • check, remove, clean or replace the memory. A pencil eraser would serve the purpose to clean the little gold contacts;
  • scan for possible virus and/or malicious files running in the background;
  • determine what program is not responding. Check its dependencies and/or if it is a legitimate program;
  • if it is a third party application, temporarily uninstall (pls make sure that you have the installer especially if it is an important application);
  • clean up your Startup in System Configuration Utility (msconfig);
  • do a Disk Cleanup;
  • uninstall unnecessary programs;
  • check how much CPU and memory is being used on an empty desktop and/or no applications visible running;
  • verify that you have sufficient hardware requirements for the programs/applications that you are running;
  • defrag the hard disk.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

Hi
The problem is most likely..
A bad driver in windows
A faulty printer
A faulty USB cable
A broken usb connector on your laptop that has a short.

but the most likely is a faulty driver.
Try downloading the latest driver from the manufacturer's website.

Hi,
What do you mean your computer is freezing? If it's the operating system that is freezing then it's highly doubtful that it's the new router which is at fault. If the computer is slow and unresponsive then clear your internet cache, perform a defrag and also check the drive for any errors.

To clear the internet cache right click on internet explorer and select properties from the list. In the general tab where it says browsing history click on delete and follow the on-screen messages.

To perform a defrag click on the start menu then all programs, accessories, system tools and the disk defragmenter.

To check the disk for any errors click on computer, right click on local disk c and select properties, select the tools tab and check the volume for errors. Make sure you check both boxes to fix any errors found and then be patient as it cane take some time to complete.

If the problem is the internet which is freezing then perform a speed test on your internet connection and compare the speed to what your supposed to be getting. You can perform a speed test here >>>>>>

http://www.speedtest.net

If the speed isn't what it's supposed to be then of course get your own router.
I do recommend Netgear myself as i will only have them routers for my own personal use.

Regards.

Sir i have downloaded a game from net i installed it and tried to open but it gives a message "this application was faiiled to start because mss32.dll file is missing" plse help me to start the game

Mss32.dll Error is a common Windows error message. Mss32.dll Error is usually caused by a missing system files, wrong system settings or a corrupted registry file. Use CTRL+ALT+DEL to get the task manager, if there is anything listed with [Not Responding] end task it. Next, run a registry scan to check for registry errors & other system problems. 96% of the time this will fix the cause of the error

It is best to clean your registry in order to optimize system performance & Fix the cause of many Windows Errors.

ø Run Windows in Safe Mode Click Yes.
ø Restoring Windows to a previous point

ø Select restore my computer to an earlier time, and click Next. The Select a Restore Point window opens.
ø Select a bolded date and a restore point, and then click next
ø (Note: - You need to choose a Date before the installation of Norton)
ø Click OK if a pop-up window about closing programs appears. The Confirm Restore Point Selection window opens.
ø Click Next. The computer should shut down and turn back on automatically after the restoration completes. The Restoration Complete window appears.
ø Click OK. The computer has now been restored to a previous time when it worked correctly.
ø (Note: - If an error message appears saying that the computer cannot be restored to the point you selected, try a different restore point)
After the System Restore is complete, and the computer starts successfully, update the computer software as follows: - 1). Update the system virus definitions. 2).Get the latest critical system updates using Microsoft's Windows update.
Once all this is Done you Need to Download and Install Norton Again.
