Error 6A00 and my printer not printing

I have a Pixma ip3000 in use for the last 18months and it has worked perfectly. However it is now not printing and I am receiving a service error message 6A00. It displays one green light pulse followed by an amber pulse and will not print anything. I have uninstalled it and then re-installed it, disconnected the power and reconnected it, but all to no avail. I have tried all the recommended steps I have lost my manual so do not know what the error means and cannot proceed any further Can anyone please help me? Geetee

I had the same error message resulting from a paper jam. I opened it up and pulled the ink carriage left and found a little wad of paper all crammed in the corner... after i removed it all was well!!

Cannon ip3000. light flashing green/orange and service error 6A00 coming up. What's wrong?

6A00 means the purge unit is stuck, it's the unit on the right that cleans the printhead. If you can see on the right, look for any paper scraps or things that don't belong. Otherwise it's a shop repair.

Service error 6A00

It looks like the print carriage was stuck. Turn on off the printer, manually move the ink cartridge back and forth a few times, look underneath for dirt or small piece of paper (usually happens when you have jammed paper) or use a blower to clean any foreign objects.

Canon Computer Pixma printer ip3000

Hi
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.
