D Farley,
I repair these nailers all the time. Anytime the nail or staple is bending you have 2 causes. Either the stapler has a broken blade, the magazine is loose on the foot gate, or you are shooting into plywood over concrete. that is allowing the staple to hit the cement subfloor. Use 11 /2" staples on 3/4" wood floor over 3/4" plywood when over concrete.

Ive had the same problem where it was putting divits you could see from the staples, we ended up changing out the flooring completely. Only thing besides trying diff psi's to get it perfect and different length staples/different heads on staples(nails) , maybe try staple gun. Keep trying every woods different, odd that it started half way through job.. odd.

I just purchased a reconditioned MFIIIS Bostitch floor stapler. I am using 15.5 x 2" staples. The staples are not setting all the way, and are leaving about 1/8" of the crown in the groove of my...

On my floor nailer there is a white plastic pad on the very bottom that rests on the flooring. I can remove the pad and add or remove shims to adjust how deep the staples can be set. If you do not have any shimms under your pad you can get creative with making a thinner pad or ordering thinner pad (easy to make out of thin wood or plastic). Second method. Take gun apart and shave the lower bumper a little the allow the driver to set deeper. More difficult fix however works great. Order extra bumper to return to factory state. Good luck

What part do I need to remove to make a bostich MIIIFS floor stapler to shoot 2 inch staples

You shouldn't have to do anything to the MIIIFS flooring stapler to shoot 2" staples. It is designed to shoot 1 1/2" to 2" staples right out of the box. If your stapler won't feed 2" staples, check the magazine all the way up to the power head for any foreign material that may hold up your staples.

The white plastic pad at the bottom of the nailer may have a shim under it restricting the total travel of the driver. Remove bottom pad and remove shims. If no shim, you will need to be creative in making a thinner pad. Other way to set staple deeper is to shave the inner bumper a bit. This will allow the driver to travel slightly further in the cylinder. Order a new bumper to keep handy in case you need the origional thickness. Good luck

What is the correct way to place the nails into the gun? This gun uses both cleats and staples. I am using cleats but it does not seem to be working. I may be putting the cleats in wrong.

If you have a Bostitch MIII FN it is only for cleats. Bostitch doesn't make a universal nailer that takes staples and cleats. The MIIIFN is the "floor nailer" and the Model MIIIFS is the "floor stapler"
Maybe check exactly what model you have and ensure you are not trying to put cleats into a stapler.
