My w6551 keeps tripping the safety switch???

SOURCE: asko w6221 front load washer stops after wash cycle

Do all of your cycles work when you turn them manually? If one cycle does not work when you turn the dial on it then it will be your timer (The dial assembly $100-up) If all your cycles work manually, then it could be your timer motor which is attached to your timer assembly. If you turn the dial pass the wash, on to the rinse, does the dial automaticly move (when finishng the rinse cycle)to the spin cycle? If so then your timer motor is ok. The only wires close to the bottom are the motor, but these should be high enough out of the way.

It Can be brushes or motor ir the wear is uneven if the machine has a lwr board next to the motor ( chopper board) it could also need replacing with the motor

Try to Open the safety compartment using a screwdriver under the wash machine in the front.
Then open the big white knodb this will cause the wate to drain out which is fine.
Then clean this out. Usually you will find coins and stuff here from years of operations from pockets. clear these out and your problem maybe fixed. worked for us

How do you change a lightbulb in a Simplicity American Quilter Sewing machine?

You can usually find a manual to your model on-line or through your local dealer/repair man. Most commonly the light bulb is under a cover held on by a screw at the front of the machine. I took the bulb with me to the store to find the exact replacement if you don't have a manual that tells you what the replacement is.

Tip this on its side and look from underneath. You should be able to see better what is holding it on there. Every washer is different and everyone makes you swear when working on it.

Washing machine stops working when door light goes out part way through cycle. I have to switch off and restart by giving door a thump. This seems to happen mostly during rinse cycle, but sometimes drum...

Hello,
I do not know the model of your machine but if you have to keep hitting the door then I would most certainly suspect that the door switch is the fault.
If you are handy with DIY.Then you could replace this switch yourself.Make sure the power is off, remove the nylon band around the front door seal,If it is an Electrolux machine remove the 2 screws holding the switch remove plug or if seperate wires make note of where they were on switch.Fit new switch and refit door rubber and the nylon clamp compress with big pliars and run machine. If switch is left as it is you could end up damaging the Programmer. If not sure I would get the local service man to call out.
Hope this helps.

Good Luck.

Underwire stuck in the drum!

Switch the power off

Drain off the water by putting the rear drain hose into a bucket
Take off any clips which secure it to the back panel to make sure you get as much water out as possible.

Tip the machine back and rest it on a couple of cushions look underneath and you will see a large black hose coming from the bottom of the drum to the pump.

If the hose is on the front of the drum then tip the machine forward so that the wire is more inclined to fall to the front of the machine

Remove the clip from the hose and pull the hose off

You should then be able to reach the wire

Make sure that when you put the hose back on that it is fully up against the drum and that the clip is secure

Error code dHE

Several reports in Australia of brand new LG Washer/Dryer combo (model number WD14700RD) getting dHE error's with very 1st dry cycle.
I bought a LG WD14700RD last week, and yup, washed fine.

Dryer cycle results in dHE error.
Everytime.
Cycle stops & you just have to power off the machine.

Service man found several possible causes.
He unscrewed the top of the machine off & said dHE errors are related to the dryer components. He started a dryer cycle & watched & lisened to machine.
He observed the dryer fan was not starting up.
He unplugged the power cable to the dryer & replugged.
The fan now started up, but only with cold air.
He then looked towards the front of the machine & noticed several cables had come loose from their sockets, one he identified was the heater element cable.
He plugged that back in & another unknown cable was also loose. He plugged that back in.
It worked.
dHE error gone & dryer fan started & pumped out hot air.

It seems at least a few of these machines during transit (from South Korea?) fail due to cables coming loose from their sockets.
dHE errors result if fan cable & fan heating element cable come loose.
My thanks to WAM electrical repairs in Box Hill (Melbourne) for helpfull advice & successfull repair.
For people looking at buying this machine, it washes & now dries perfectly well & I am happy with the machine.
But beware that this problem is out there (there are several other reports I read) and it have this problem, which is easily fixed but does require a service call out, under warranty of course.
