These tempratures are pretty cold should be around 0 deg. but it sounds like you might have a bad defrost timer or defrost thermostat the frost should not come back if defrost system is working
I would guess you have just caused a build up of ice to block the air way, which normally takes cold air into the fridge. manually defrost (unplug and wait until the ice goes away) then restart and it should be fine
try to clean the drain of your unit maybe it is clog up declog it to avoid drip. u said that ther is a build up of ice this means auto defrost not activate try to chek the defrost heater or defrost timer if have the unit this. or try to allign the door gasket possible theres a gap entry of outside air cause of build up of ice. bec it is came from moisture of air out side or avoid to much door opening.goodluck.
If you have ice build up on the evaporator (located in the freezer) unplug fridge and melt ice using a heat gun or hair dryer to speed up the process. Taking the back cover will also help. (If you don't feel comfortable doing it, don't do it.)
And don't worry, it is very common to change temp. settings when cleaning fridge. Check settings and restart unit.
Good day, The first step is to defrost the machine completely. The second step is to clean the drain properly. Service techs use compressed air to blow the lines clean. This is followed by pouring extremely hot water onto the drain pan below the evaporator. mixed with a little bleach, to flush any junk left over. The reason for the extended shut down, is ice will build up under the pan below the evaporator coil, and if not melted and dried out will cause the problem to re-appear in a short while. Shut down (unplugged) should be a minimum of 12 hours. 24 better. A real pain, but is the best long term solution.
The water supply line is leaking.Put some paper towels down after you clean up and check real often to back track where leak is coming from, maybe your ice maker is over flowing with water. When was the last time you replaced your water filter?Could be backing up,just replaced mine,it was leaking under the fridge, mine is a Sear's Kenmore, ordered a filter from Sear's,Cost me 50 buck's,My filter is at the bottom front, your's may be inside the freezer.
Keep unscrewing Kenmore is areal pain to clean use a vacuum long soft bristle brush @home depot the best way is with high pressure air down side to that is dust all over 2. you have a defrost problem Have it checked .Tom
the defroster isn't close enough to the drain to be effective. remove the back wall of the inside of the freezer, remove the excess ice. clear out the ice from the drain using hot water and a turkey baster. there is a kit from whirlpool that uses a piece of metal and a screw around the defrost rod, but I found out that a piece of 14 gauge solid core wire with the insulation stripped off works great too. stick the stripped wire into the drain, 2 to 3 inches, and wrap the rest around the defrost rod.
Hi, I can help you. The drain is plugged in the freezer section. Could I get the model #? Some models need an after market drain heat strip added. Please let me know and I can get you through tis.
that will make fridge feel warm ?
