Hi, most, if not all chainsaws start with both hi and low screws set at 1 and 1/4 turns out, but when you turn the screws in, don't turn them tight-soft metal! Mark the screwdriver and turn them out , once chainsaw started the high speed screw can be turned in one eighth. The tickover is turned in just enough that sounds right and the clutch isn't engaged!

Take a look at the linkage between the throttle trigger and the carb. There should be a small screw that when turned in will increase the idle speed. This screw most often pushes on the linkage opening the throttle plate in the carb to speed up the engine.

Husqvarna k750 partner starts and runs fine up to limiter but will only idle for a few seconds then dies

I had a saw with a similar problem. I beleive you need a new carberator. I changed mine and my saw never ran so good. I think from all the vibration all the shafts/bushings have wore and now air is being sucked in from too many unwanted places keeping enough vacume to **** the gas out of the carb bowl.

Husqvarna k750 wont idle down. I have replaced both rubber tubes and have even replaced the carb.

Replace the crankshaft on both sides. You will need a special puller to remove the seal on the flywheel side and the flywheel.

My Husqvarna chain saw 455 rancher does not get the fuel to the spark plug. The fuel is in the fuel tank. If the problem is the carburetor, I do not have a manual diagram. Tom

If you are looking for a diagram you will get the carb in pieces and not what you are looking for.. How to fix this is simple.. Take the carb off the saw. you will notice on both side has screws hold on a plate.. on one side will be four screws and on the other will be one screw.. take the side with one screw out and take carb cleaner or a blow gun and lightly blow that side of the carb down. make sure nothing is blocking the screen filter. once its all clean put it back together.. on the other side take the four screw out be careful this is the side that has the diaphragm and it could tear. you will see a needle there make sure nothing is blocking the needle from moving.. blow that side down also. put everything back together and try to run the saw.. it might start hard because you blew everything out of it.. however with a little carb cleaner or gas sprayed in the carb it should catch. If it doesn't catch or start to burn the gas going though the carb then replacing the carb is something to think about.

On these small 2 cycle motors-the carb has 2 screws. which is high and which is low?

The screw closest to the cylinder is the Lo side and the screw closest to the air filter is the Hi side. From the factory they were set at approx 1 1/4 turn out. They plastic locks on the screws are just pressed on and should be easily removed. The Lo side effects idle and engine rev up. The Hi side only effects engine at wide open throttle. If you have to open up more than 2.5 turns each, then you have a blockage in the carb and it will need to be rebuilt or replaced.
Good luck.

I was looking for the setting for the fuel air mixture screw for the bolens 31 cc 2 cycle cultivator

From the factory, when everything was new, the Hi and Lo screws were 1 1/4 turns out. As things wear and as fuel forms deposits in the carb, you may have to adjust the screws out further. Usually Lo gets stopped up a little first. Lo side adjustment effects how the engine goes from idle to upper speeds. Hi side only effects the engine at wide open throttle. If you have to go more than 2 1/2 turns out on either screw, then a carb overhaul or replacement is in order.
Good luck!

My harley sportster the idle screw needs turning to speed up tick over need to locate on carb

You may have to take the breather off to get to the screw. Some of them can be difficult to get to. Standing on the right side of the bike looking down at the air filter, you can see the square looking top of the carb. On the right hand side of the carb near the top is the idle stop screw. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the idle speed.

Good Luck

How can i tune it myself.. the throttle is a lil

You probably cannot ... It takes special tools and expertise to properly balance a motorcycle carb. If you think it is the carb, take it to the dealer for a tuneup.

ON A 2007 KX250F DIRT BIKE IT IS RUNNING RICH EVERY TIME I REV IT A FLAME SHOOTS OUT OF THE EXHAUST IF I AM LOOKING AT FRONT OF BIKE CARB IS ON RIGHT SIDE WHICH WAY DO I TURN THE SCREW ON THE BOTTOM OF...

turn it clockwise. you should by rule of thumb turn the screw all the way in (until it stops) then back it out 1 and a 1/2 turns then start the bike and adjust from that point. it is the best way to do it.

i would take the carb off and clean it throughly to insure no dirt r grim is the cause of the extra fuel.
good luck man

What is intial setting on carbs air fuel screw 1987 fzx700

Turn the screws inward until the LIGHTLY seat. Now turn outward one and one half turns. If you seat the screws too tight you will mess up the jet.
