My whirlpool CB239W fridge is not draining condensed water away

Freezer /fridge water/ice in fridge and or freezer

Usually due to CONDENSATION due to bad door seals or a plugged evaporator drain line? Can use a soft flexable tubing and very hot water to clean it out. Bad door seals usually need replacement, but u can use a blow dryer and something to pry it closer to the door wall while blowing hot air on to it. To create a seal, to test for bad door seals place a dollar bill in between the door and wall of fridge where it closes. Then slide out the dollar bill with door closed. It should offer some resistance and not be easy to pull out.
Most all fridges have a drain. Look inside your fridge for a "V" shaped channel with a small hole. This hole leads to a tube and a small pan which sits on top of your refrigerator's compressor. The defrost cycle causes water to run into the channel, down the tube, and then it generally evaporates with the heat of the hot condenser/compressor.
However, if that tube is clogged with food crumbs, particles , debris etc, you will have to clear it to get back to a normal mode of operation. A toothpick, pipecleaner, straw or a cotton bud can often do the trick.
Even a frost free freezer will still ice up at times in the areas away from the heated defrost area and the drain line can freeze. This icing causes the pipe work to the compressor to ice over or sweat and cause a puddle. Or if the drainage has frozen over, it will need to be de-iced. ( usually the line is under the freezer bottom plate covering. Towards the back of the unit) And there is another inside the fridge area also.
Give the freezer a good overnight defrost until it's totally clear of ice in addition to making sure the drain is clear to the pan at the back and then restart the freezer.

I have a Whirlpool-Estate refrigerator Model TT21AKXKQ03 and drain plug freezes causing water to drip into the refrigerator.

Something has plugged the drain tube, or has pinched it in the back rear of the fridge (yes the refrigerator is going to need to be pulled out so you can get behind it). Sometimes its just pinched on the rear bottom, othertimes something has gotten caught inside the hose. Sounds dirty, but find the drain hose on the rear of the fridge, after the frozen iceburg has thawed out, blow into/onto this hose. If you dont want to put your mouth onto the hose, alternative is compressed air. Hope this works! Please rate me. Good luck!

I think i have a frozen drain tube. water is leaking from the freezer into the refrigerator. i can not find the drain tube. can you tell me where it (the drain tube) is located and how i can access it. ...

Yes you can get to it from the inside. There should be screws in the back towards the bottom of the freezer that wiil let you remove the bottom of the freezer compartment. Under tere you will see the drain hole and the freezer coils, alond with the defrost coil.

Then checkout this tip to help you make it so the hole won't freeze shut again...

You have a frozen drain. Remove the cover on the bottom back and locate the drain tube and thaw it with a hair dryer. Find the drain inside the fridge and run hot water thru it until it opens.

Ice & water dripping in refrigerator

ok your defrost drain is frozen take the back panel off in the freezer section under the coils you will see a silver pan if its frozen it will be a block of ice you have to remove the ice then make sure the drain and tube are clear all the way to the pan at the bottom you should see the plastic tube on the back of the unit in the center over time algae can grow in the tube blocking it drying the unit will help but soon as it defrosts the tube fill up again and the problem reoccurs you kinda got to snake it out so to speak.the best way to deal with it is to go to lowes or home depot and get a eurka 302 enviro hand held steamer an investment but a great product to have around the house cost about 40 bucks but 1000s of uses
