    Hello,

First I want to know if you have sound, if you have sound this problem most likely will be localized to the High Voltage Section of the TV. If this is the case, tell me what is happening on the front panel there should be an LED, tell me how this LED is flashing or if it is flashing at all. From what you are saying (no picture, I am assuming that you have sound). In any event let me know, and then I can begin diagnosing the problem more thoroughly. For now this is looking like a HV problem.

    Thank you,

Hello,

This actually explains a lot. You have HV since you can see light on the screen (the blue snow, and the CC words prove that you have raster and line 21 functionality). Having this information moves this problem from the HV section to the video section, You are receiving signal since you are decoding line 21 data (cc). What I suspect is your video driver/output IC might be malfunctioning. Now I could tell you to replace the signal board, but that is not how I do things, I believe in troubleshooting, so if you have a background in electronics, a multimeter, a schematic, an oscilloscope, a signal generator, and a little time you can get this TV working again. However if you do not have a background in electronics I would suggest getting a TV repair technician to give you an in home estimate on the repair of this TV, and getting the repair done by the technician. We do know that the TV is getting signal (cc tells us this), we know that the HV is working because the TV has raster (screen lights up), you have proper deflection (no rainbow effect) so the section that we should be concerned about is the video section.

I hope this help,

Thank you,

I own a WS-48413 Mitsubishi 48" projection TV that has been working great for 7 years. Now all of a sudden there is no sound, only a picture. Tried to trouble shoot with the manual, but no luck. Is...

amlupo,

If the picture is good and you use Comcast as your cable supplier I believe that your Comcast converter box is bad. This is a very common problem and an easy one to fix. Call Comcast and tell them the problem and they should replace the box for free.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

No sound great picture

Are you connected to a Cable box? then make sure cable box is not on MUTE and audio cables are attached.
From MENU check to see that speakers are not disabled on your TV.

Good Luck

Mitsubishi tv model wd 73727 and how to take tv apart to clean marrow

my mitsubishi 73" set is 4+ years old. all of a sudden the color is all wrong. after a couple of minutes of clear picture the colors change--blue is green and red is yellow. a little while later everything has a red tint to it and there is a line going down the center of the screen. to the left the picture is still relatively sharp, but the right hand side is terrible. I'm hoping this is just the lamp.

Unable to receive input device signal

Can you post a picture of the screen so I can properly diagnose it. It sounds like the caps on the FMT PWB but a picture would help me be certain.

Hi i have a 93 Mitsubishi model# ck35402. I was told that the pip had went out. was hoping someone could walk me through on how to remove and reroute

From the bottom of the main board locate IC 2004 between the PIP module and the tuner. Remove the jumper between pins 2 & 6, then jump pins 6 & 7. Next , pull the pip module from its socket and toss it. The symptom for a bad PIP module could be black screen, no picture, blue streaks, wavy or jittering picture. The audio will not be affected. Make sure the symptom fits the cure before you bypass the PIP. Good luck!
