After working properly for years-suddenly no picture
Hello,
This actually explains a lot. You have HV since you can see light on the screen (the blue snow, and the CC words prove that you have raster and line 21 functionality). Having this information moves this problem from the HV section to the video section, You are receiving signal since you are decoding line 21 data (cc). What I suspect is your video driver/output IC might be malfunctioning. Now I could tell you to replace the signal board, but that is not how I do things, I believe in troubleshooting, so if you have a background in electronics, a multimeter, a schematic, an oscilloscope, a signal generator, and a little time you can get this TV working again. However if you do not have a background in electronics I would suggest getting a TV repair technician to give you an in home estimate on the repair of this TV, and getting the repair done by the technician. We do know that the TV is getting signal (cc tells us this), we know that the HV is working because the TV has raster (screen lights up), you have proper deflection (no rainbow effect) so the section that we should be concerned about is the video section.
I hope this help,
Thank you,

NO HAPPENINGS ON FRON PANEL..
I CHANGED TO A DIFFERENT POWER OUTLET TO INSURE THE OUTLET WAS PROVIDING THE PROPER CURRENT.
THIS IS A LARGE TV THAT I CAN'T TAKE TO THE SHOP; IT HAS SEVERAL INPUT CHOICES ON THE REMOTE (ANT A; ANT B, ETC)... I ALSO AT TIMES GET "BLUE SNOW"???

Hello,
First I want to know if you have sound, if you have sound this problem most likely will be localized to the High Voltage Section of the TV. If this is the case, tell me what is happening on the front panel there should be an LED, tell me how this LED is flashing or if it is flashing at all. From what you are saying (no picture, I am assuming that you have sound). In any event let me know, and then I can begin diagnosing the problem more thoroughly. For now this is looking like a HV problem.
Thank you,
