Dirt inside master replicas force fx lightsaber blade

I have the Darth Vader ANH lightsaber by Master Replicas, and there is a little bit of dirt trapped between the polycarbonate blade and the diffuser. It is down near the hilt, and I need to know how to remove the blade so I can clear it out.  If anyone can tell me which screws to remove and how to get the blade off, I would appreciate it.
Thanks, Matt Swanson

I personally do not know how do this but if you do a web search, I am sure you can find a good tutorial website. Also, many websites can replace your lightsabaer blade for you, one of them being

How to get take apart a hasbro model C-029A

With a flat screwdriver (or similar) pry up the left-hand side of the blade release button. Expand the seam down the side of the lightsaber to get it to release. Inside, there is a metal release that when pressed down releases the blade. It should connect to the plastic button somehow... I got it jammed in the "release" position (so the blade doesn't lock anymore) but that's better than it being stuck in "lock"...

My lego light up lightsaber is not working. It lights up very little. Is there something i can do make it lightup like it used to. thanks

Hello, you will need to take a small flathead screwdriver and you will need 2 batteries #CR927. To change the batteries for the lightsaber.
  1. Swing the cape around from the back to the front exposing the back.
  2. Now facing the back, take the left side arm off.
  3. If you look inside where the arm was at you will see the two batteries.
  4. Take that small flathead screwdriver and wedge it between the two batteries and pry them up and the batteries will come through an tiny access panel on the back.
  5. Now take the screwdriver and finish prying that panel off nice and easy, don't ruin the plastic cover.
  6. Now the two batteries are right there.
  7. Place the new batteries in the same as the old ones are sitting. (positive side up)
  8. Reverse procedure and you are finished.
Regards, Tony

How to remove blade from hilt?

You can hit things with the blade, you just should not duel with the fx lightsabers because they can shatter if hit extremely hard. I have heard that the polycarbonite in the polycarbonite blade is a proponent in bulletproof glass, so the blades are made of very durable material. Can't help you with taking the blade off but there are several websites online that can replace your blade, and even make modifications.
