Normal 0 Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

  1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
  4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud

It might take some time being a freeware driver solution

note: it will find all of your outdated drivers

this is a free driver solutions

This will automatically search for and find the correct driver
you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you

want to restart or make a system restore point click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated

Hello sir, actually i lost me creative web cam cd and want to install it on my pc for windows xp can u pls help me out

Hi siddharthnar

You can download the Driver and Applications for this Webcam from the official Creative Support Website. Select Windows XP and "All" in the Drop Down Menus and then click "Submit" at the foot of the Drivers and Downloads webpage to open the succeeding Download Page for both XP Driver and Applications:

http://support.creative.com/downloads/welcome.aspx?nDriverType=1#type_1

After successful downloading but before installation, be aware that for some webcams, it is better to install the drivers and software first and then connect the camera afterwards.

If you have installed the Drivers and Applications with the camera connected, disconnect the Webcam > uninstall ALL components of the Webcam software > restart the computer > reinstall the Webcam Driver and Applications > restart the computer > reconnect the Webcam > My Computer > right click on the camera icon at the bottom of the window (scroll down if necessary) > Send To > Desktop (create shortcut) > double click on the new desktop Webcam icon
.

I hope this helps.

Windows 7 revert back to Win XP

I think that what's important is license key of your Win XP, the installer for Win XP can be downloaded from any download site now a days. If you have a friend or know someone who has the Win XP installer, you can barrow it from them or have it copied on another disc. Then use the license key that you have from your previous operating system (Win XP).

You must also make sure that the installer that you will be using is the same version that you used to have before installing Win 7. I hope this one helped in a way.

WindowsXP not loading after installing Windows Vista Demo Version

You need to get rid of the Vista Demo, and reload xp. You need to keep one or the other I think, you can't keep both operating systems on the same drive. What were you thinking?
Did you install the vista demo as a dual boot setup? Doesn't sound like it.
I hope someone can help you, I can't.
