The onboard battery that keeps the CMOS or BIOS settings is bad. It's a large flat battery that looks a lot like a watch battery just larger. Carefully remove it and get a replacement. Numbers for the replacement should be on top of the old battery.

After installing graphics card my pc restarts several times giving error message ur last boot failed or post interrupted press f1 to continue or del to enter setup im using ati radeon 5770 graphics card...

Hey there,Im pretty sure this is becuase one of 2 reasons:
Possiblity 1:That you have not inserted your video card correctly and some adjusting to its position on your motherboard should help(or even another pci slot if possible)

Possiblity 2:That the Card is not compatible With your system which is unlikley..

I want to reformat my computer, my question was how to first boot my cd rom to install...

Start your computer.
When you see the 'Press DEL to enter BIOS SETUP mode", press the 'DEL' key.
Change the "boot-order" to put your CD-ROM as the "first" (highest-priority) boot-device.
Save-and-exit from BIOS setup.
Insert the disk into the CD-ROM.
Your computer should boot from the disk in the CD-ROM.

Soyo KT400L-2AA5 Motherboard - CMOS checksum error - Defaults loa

This message is usually accompanied by another more explicit, like: "Memory changed from 1GB to 2GB. Press F1 to continue". The message should display and go away after pressing F1. Since you cannot press F1 because the keys do nothing, chances are your keyboard is disconnected, which should display a message indicating this failure.
Try pressing the ScrLk (Scroll Lock) key as messages are being displayed to catch all
messages (they go by quickly) and stop them before they disappear.
If that's the case, then reconnect the keyboard and try again.
Good luck!

ASUS p4 intel motherboard giving chassis intruded. fatal error message and system would not boot unless reset again. can anybody solve this?

Hi there.
Start the PC and enter the bios using either the Esc or Del key, once in the bios set the chassis intrusion to "disabled" save the changes and exit the bios, the computer will now restart and you should be able to boot into the operating system no problem.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

Asus k8s mx mother board problem

To get rid of this message at boot you must turn off the Chassis Intrusion detector feature. To do this you must restart the computer, as it boots press DEL to enter BIOS.
Under the SECURITY tab in BIOS select CHASSIS INTRUSION and select DISABLE.
Then select EXIT and SAVE CHANGES and OK to reboot the system.
