Question about Panasonic NN-T888S Convection/Microwave Oven

Panasonic NN 9850 wall micro/convection oven

Hi, Hope you can help. All the buttons on my micro work EXCEPT the start button. The clock works, I can change times and micro settings but the Start button does not work so of course nothing works. Thanks in advance for your help.

You can take the membrane panel apart. The top Layer is just stuck on. take it off, then give the contacts a good wipe and stick together again. For me this did the trick...

Make sure door is closed properly hooks on door activate switches in mwave .openmwave check if hooks make contact with switches

Wont come out of demo mode!!!

Try pressing the clock button 3 times.
You press the high power button once and then stop cancel button four times in rapid succession.

Demo mode on

The instructions to turn the demo mode OFF on the model you have listed, can be found on page 24 of the owner's manual. Press the CLOCK pad three times to clear. If you no longer have an owner's manual, you can download a FREE copy at Here's a direct link:

If you're in the US, find it here.

If you're not in the US, see and look for support / download links.

Otherwise, I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes.

The microwave works for only 8-9 seconds, then stops

It may be in demo mode.  On some units if you hit the timer/clock button 4 times to turn demo off.

Yes, you are correct. The membrane switch for this model was discontinued. The correct part number for the membrane switch is A630Y5460HAP for model NN 9859.
