Panasonic NN 9850 wall micro/convection oven

Hi, Hope you can help. All the buttons on my micro work EXCEPT the start button. The clock works, I can change times and micro settings but the Start button does not work so of course nothing works. Thanks in advance for your help.

I had someone in to take a look and he showed me a tiny piece that had broken in the door. This little piece holds some other piece in place to enable door to close properly. There was a very tiny gap in the door on the top. If we manually pushed in the micrw worked fine.

Problem is the door seemed to be one whole piece and he suspected it would not be possible to buy the tiny piece. My model no is Panasonic NN-9850 and it is installed in the wall cabinet. Does anyone know of a place where I could get a diagram to figure out what this piece is called and buy either that or the whole door if no other choice.

One of the small door-hooks on our Panasonic NN-9850 / NN-9800 broke and now the door won't open properly once it is closed. We need to stick in a ruler to lift the one remaining hook to open the door.

We can't find this part anywhere! It sure seems to be wasteful to throw out such an expensive convection microwave for the sake of a piece of plastic smaller than a fingernail! It otherwise works perfectly!

You can take the membrane panel apart. The top Layer is just stuck on. take it off, then give the contacts a good wipe and stick together again. For me this did the trick...

Demo mode on

The instructions to turn the demo mode OFF on the model you have listed, can be found on page 24 of the owner's manual. Press the CLOCK pad three times to clear. If you no longer have an owner's manual, you can download a FREE copy at managemylife.com. Here's a direct link:

Model NN 9804 U microwave in Demo Mode

No owner's manual?

If you're in the US, find it here.

If you're not in the US, see Panasonic.net and look for support / download links.

Otherwise, I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
