Maytag quiet series 300 leaks from front

We have a Maytag Quiet Series 300 that started leaking from the bottom of the door. In a was cycle it leaks out at least a quart of water. I tried aligning the door, cleaning the gasket and bottom of the tub but nothing helped.

Thanks for you response - when you say click do you mean when it goes up and down or is it supposed to click when I turn it?

My Maytag Quiet Series 300 started leaking from the front as well.  I think it is a gasket or something like that problem because when I push the door shut while it is running it slows the drip down and eventually stops.  once I don't have pressure on it, it starts right back up.  I've cleaned it and can't seem to get it to stop dripping.

I have the same problem.  I took the seal off and cleaned all the ewhey gunk off the seal and in the crack wear the seal sits.  That fixed the problem for about 2 months but the leak is back...

I have the same leaking problem in a Series 400. What have you found to work for this?

It might be happening at last rinse or during drying cycle.

Elliottbd has a great point, try to check that switch. If you don't know where it's located, jump over to the manual section: Maytag Quiet Series 300 Manual

My maytag quiet series is leaking from the door what do i need to do to stop this leak. The flow on the bottom right move freely.......

Not sure why your enquiry landed in the Kitchen Aid dishwasher category?

It is hard to provide suggestions without having the Dishwasher Model no. I have looked at the manual for MDB7600AWW which is one of the Maytag Quiet Series category. (they must be all similar I presume)

If the water leak is minor - it could be steam condensing from the top right corner vent that is used for drying the dishes.

Other sources of water leak could be -
  • foaming of detergent - use the recommended detergent
  • unclean door liner - clean the door liner
  • dishwasher is not level - refer to installations instructions
  • door liner is damaged - replace door liner

Foul smell coming from Maytag Quiet Series 300

Hello jscott,
It is typical nowdays for most dishwashers not to drain all water out of the bottom tub (Even where you cant see) due to siphon design and energy efficiency. Try using about a liter of vinegar and throw it on the bottom tub of the dishwasher. Let it run through a full cycle and see how that works. Has worked for me

Maytag quiet series 300

Maytag Quiet Series 300. The lights flash in sequence starting from the outside traveling inward. The timer counts backwards from 50 to 1. Then the sequence starts over. and continues over and over. I'm able to clear it when the time reaches 1 or 2. It stays off for a while (3-4 hours) then starts over. I can not clear the countdown until it reaches 1 or 2. After I clear it the dishwasher will work, but until then, no way. This happens with the door open or closed.

Hi jeffwirch,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: You have a maytag quiet series 300. When it is done with any of the cycles in leaves about 1-2 inches of water in the bottom of the dishwasher. You can manually hit the start button twice and it will go through a 2 minute cycle and pump out the water. You have cleaned the filter inside the dishwasher where it drains and have checked the hose to the disposal and it pumps out fine. It just doen't pump itself at the end of the cycle.

It sounds like a bad control board. It's in the top of the door panel. I don't recomend this repair to the average homeowner. You might consider the Repair Directory to find a repairman.
