IBM A22e turn on problem

I have an IBM A22e Celeron. When I plug in the power cord, the light bulb shows green but the machine doesnt turn on when I push the on button, the bulb goes off for a few second then comes back green again. Someone tells me it is not a battery problem, it could be the switching-on-system that is bad...please help on how to solve this.

Regards

Hi, I have the same problem.

It will not do anything when its stand alone (battary) - no light, but with AC Adaptor the power light is active. & goes offf for a second when u press the 'on' button. I've also noticed that with this lid shut, the Power light seems to blink. Like 1.5sec on, 1 sec off... repeating.

Try turning on the system without the AC adaptor. If it doesn't work on battery, then try pressing and holding the power key (after removing the battery) for 30 seconds.
Now attach the AC adaptor and try to power on.
If it doesn't work, it sounds like either a motherboard issue or an AC adaptor issue (possibly there isn't enough voltage being supplied) but it's an odd problem. I hope I helped.

IBM Wheelwriter 6 powers up, then beeps. No lights, changed batteries. What is problem?

I have an instruction manual for IBM Wheelwriter 1000. The troubleshooting page in my manual for the machine coming on and having no lights is to make sure the cord is securely plugged into the typewriter and the wall or power strip and to switch the machine off and back on. Mine has a power saving mode where the lights go off after a while to enter power saving mode. I only need to touch a key to turn it back on.
Hope this helps - Cindy

How do i flash my generator to get power again

Get two short extension cords and cut the FEMALE end off each one. Strip back the insulation on that end. Connect the two green wires to each other, and connect the two white wires to each other.

Connect one black wire to a light switch, and connect the other black wire to a 20W appliance-type incandescent light bulb. Also run one short black wire (from a cut-off end) from the second terminal on the light bulb to the second terminal on the switch, like so:

plug -- black -- switch -- black -- bulb -- black -- plug
plug -- white ----------------------------------- white -- plug
plug -- green ---------------------------------- green -- plug

Turn the switch to the OFF position.
Start the generator. Plug one plug from your new rig into an outlet on the generator. Plug the other plug from your new rig into a wall outlet supplying 120V. With the generator running, turn the switch to the ON position.

The bulb should flash for a short while, then become steady. When it's steady, that side of the generator is flashed. Repeat for the other side of the generator if it makes 240V.

IBM Laptop A22e Display an error 0175

The CRC error (POST = power on startup test) on boot up refers to the BIOS settings. This could be cause by a near flat BIOS battery and it needs to be replaces. If it is not the battery you need go to the BIOS to correct any faulty settings.

IBM Thinkpad A22e Shutdown early on full battery

First, you should clean the battery terminals. You can scratch the terminals with a metal and then charge. Secondly, you should change your battery, that is, buy a new battery.
