Question about Cranium Toys

1 Answer

Can only watch movies through picture in picture.

I have an older (black) very large Panasonic television and recently I can only watch movies through the little picture in picture feature. And even they are seperated into two identical screens showing the same exact thing. I only use this television with my DVD player. My 5 year old son put in a Scooby Doo movie and now this problem has occured. I'm guessing he set some feature on it. For the life of me, I can't get it back to normal. Please help!

Disassemble the DVD player from the television and then reassemble it. Tell me what buttons are on your DVD player.
Is there a reset button on it, if so press it.

If you're watching the movie from a DVD player, make sure all of the cables are fully plugged in and connected. If you're watching the movie from a VHS, it will probably continue to look like that.

The picture is crunched like if you were watching a letterbox movie.(with the black at the top an bottom of the screen how do i correct this

Black on top of bottom is widescreen.. Some dvd's are made in only widescreen. Usually you have to buy a full screen disc to cover the entire screen or change to format to 16:9 or 6:9 or whatever it handles/

You may see the black on top and bottom, it is annoying at first, but the picture is so much wider and you can actually see more on a widescreen

PANASONIC TV, TH-42PX60

If it's just one video plug, then perhaps you have to set av5 as being in colour somwhere in the menus.  If you require three wires for the pictures, as blue, green, and red, then make sure they aren't in the wrong ports.
Good luck.
