I have an RV norcold refrigerator model#12101M that freezes food below with the temp set as low as it will go, I moved the thermostat as low as it would go on the cooling fin it's mounted on. It does this on both gas and electric. Please help.
Re: my norcold frig(RV) freezes food in lower level
In your refridgerator there is an internal thermostat on the cooling fan u can move up or down it should be placed on the last finn to the right looking at the fridge

time to get the service person back under warranty
don't try repairs yourself as that voids the warranty
because you had to replace the regulator so early after purchase , it suggests problem in the gas lines(dirt or filings) that have blocked up the gas jets . problems on the other circuits could be again installation faults
I'm sure that you will make your dissatisfaction known to the company
Quit playing with it ... absorption refrigs work slow ... and do not recover well ... If yours has a thermostat ... set it a little lower ... check it in the morning ... use a thermometer inside. Keep track of the temps.
Putting warm food in the frig will result in a big slowdown in recovery.
if the outside air temp too cold fridge will freeze food.
try setting to low. make sure fridge is fully defrosted
and has ample ventilation around it..otherwise replace temp probe.put in opposite of taking out , gentle....
This problem appears in spades this time of year, every year.
The problem becomes more severe when the temperatures in the house cools down and is made even worse if the usage of the machine becomes lighter.
It occurs when the machine is off, not on.
There is an open vent, near the bottom, between the freezer compartment and the fresh food compartment. This opening or vent is necessary when the machine is running, so that the air pumped into the top of the fresh food section, can return to the freezer compartment. This is by design.
When the machine is off, the zero degree air from the freezer compartment. can drift into the fresh food compartmnet and drop the temps near the bottom to below freezing.
Off time increases substantialy at this time of year.
Some have even recommended turning the controls colder to offset the problem, but I've no proof it works well, or even a little.
SXS and top freezer models experience it more than bottom freezer models.
are you running gas to oper the frig in the rv or electricty if only using the heating element for the frig RV STYLE ONLY maybe starting to make and break causing intermittent cooling or not enough cooling in frig but at all thing concerned try to increase you temp setting higher if you have that option
