Question about Philips Magnavox 27MS343S 27" TV
Each time our power goes out our Magnavox rk4490 ak05 tv refuses to come on for hours or days. There is no "click" when you hit the power button on the tv itself or the one on the remote. We can hear the sound when we turn our satellite and surround sound on but cannot get the tv to turn on!
capacitor problems in power supply or a regulater isolate the power suppley by disconecting the line output stage/unplug scan coils for example and run a 60w bulb as a dummy load one wire to earth and the other to rail voltage colecter of line output transister if the bulb glows steady the power supplys fine

You are right about the auto-programming, but Magnavox no longer has the original remote.
For my answer to be right, you must have posted this question to the EXACT CORRECT model # of your Magnavox TV - 27ms343s:
Press TV on your Verizon remote, and then press "0" and "3"
If that fails:
Press MENU to see the TV’s on-screen
menu. In the menu, use VOL.+/_ and
CH.+/_ to make adjustments or selections.
You can press MENU on either the
remote control or the front of the TV to
access or remove the menu.
