the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

You're going to have to format the drive and reload Windows and any other programs. Hopefully you have backups of any personal pictures or data that were on the computer.

Gateway GT5028 missing OS

sounds like you got a virus. Does it give you the option on boot up to restore (maybe press F10 or alt + F10) if it was a factory install then they have probably made a factory restore partition on your hard drive but maybe not. other remedys are to purchase a restore disk for the gateway or reinstall windows XP (you might be able to use the XP restore feature) and download any drivers you need from here http://support.gateway.com/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=2844 I would download the drivers with another computer or get a friend to do it as you probably wont be able to connect to the internet without the drivers installed. I have them if you need, but you can get them from the link.

My e machine keeps restarting off the menu screenand wont start up windows

You have a Boot Virus. You must Re Install Windows from the Original CD. Then go to www.gateway.com and download the Drivers from the website for your Specific Model Computer. If you have a 2nd computer, I'd go to the Gateway site FIRST. Download and burn to CD the Drivers for Network Card, Audio and Video. That way when you re install Windows XP, you have the drivers needed.

I have a gateway 835gm and when i turn it on. It wont go pass the windows xp screen. it just keeps re-booting.

If you have a windows boot cd, use it to get to the first boot screen where it asks you if you want to repair it or install XP. Try repair first and run check disk. If this doesnt work, then instead of pushing repair, press ENTER and do a reinstallation repair.

If you dont have a windows boot cd then you can download this ISO and burn it to a CD. It will boot and allow you to have a lot of diagnostic programs.

Go to this site and make a bootable cd. Once you have made it, go to the diagnostic category for hard drives. Run check disk first, then run the other ones if necessary. If it is a problem with the fileing system, then one of these tools will probably fix it.

Windows xp wont allow to login

Very possible depending on the computer as you boot up you will see a message to depress F2 or F8 or F10 or possible the del key to start a system restore. Tap on of these keys as it boots up and you should go into the restore mode....
