If you hear it sparking, verify the spark is happening INSIDE the combustion area and not shorting out at the ignition module. Also verify you actually have gas available and the gas valve is turned on...

SOURCE: Raypak 2100 pool heater won't heat, PRS and HL2 error codes.

Well, I replaced the pressure switch with no joy. I tried all 5 levels of pressure 1-5 and every wiring combination. Finally, I returned the new $70 pressure switch and took the 2 wires and tied them together (jumped them). Here's the only downside...If you run your pump in backwash, recirc, waste, or any mode that would cause water to bypass the heater it MUST BE OFF. Otherwise, let it ride. It's working great and I hope to go into October weather permitting.

SOURCE: My raypac 2100 was working

The EOL code means End Of Line. It means the heater has given up trying to run. There are a number of problems that could cause this issue. There could be no gas pressure, a defective gas valve, or something wrong with the control board, etc. To determine exactly what is wrong a person qualified to diagnose the problem will need to follow a diagnostics document from Paypak or call Paypak's technical support line. If you have a volt/ohm meter and have some debugging experience you might convince a tech support person to help you diagnose what the problem is. If you are not successful with that idea then you will need to find a pool equipment professional to do the job. I hope this helps.

My lazy spa has been fine for 18 months and is now tripping electrics every time I put on to heat and filter

if your hot tub is tripping the breaker, it could be due to a worn out ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) breaker, which is responsible for preventing electrical surges. You can try flipping the breaker to see if it trips again. If it does, then you may need to replace the breaker.

Another possible cause of the problem could be loose electrical connections in your hot tub . This can lead to power fluctuations that cause your hot tub circuit breaker to trip. Professional electricians can inspect your hot tub and tighten any connections that are loose, which should fix the circuit breaker problem.

If your spa is not receiving power, you should check your home's circuit breaker to ensure that it's not tripped . Reset the circuit breaker if it's tripped to restore power to the spa. If the circuit breaker keeps tripping, it may be an indication of an electrical problem, and you should call a professional electrician to diagnose and fix the issue

Snow Storm today knocked out main power to everyone in our area for a few hours. Ever since power was restored, our 200 AMP Main trips every 2.5 to 3 hours.

Could be major safety issue. They trip when too much amperage cause them to heat up and trip the bimetal. Get an electrician now, please.

No power to unit

Copy following link for tankless troubleshoot resources:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-Rheem-Tankless-water-heater.html#fuse
Tankless are not protected from surge, but there is a 3-5 amp glass fuse located on circuit board.
Check outlet with circuit analyzer, and multimeter

Breaker trips after bout 5 minutes

Breakers trip because of heat.
When heat from wire exceeds breaker rating, it trips.
Something is causing heat on the wire, wire is too small for the amp draw, there is short circuit, or breaker is bad.
Replace breaker and/or test wire.

Put amp-meter on wire and read amp draw through wire.
Amps cause heat. That's why high voltage lines from power station are high-volt-low-amp so there is no heat loss with long distance transmission, until transformer at home converts electricity to lower volts and high working amps with enough power to run electrical devices.
Same is true for AC and DC circuits.
If amp reading on wire exceeds rating on breaker for length of time, then breaker will trip.
The fact that the breaker lets current (amps) to flow for a period of time before tripping is because the breaker is probably rated for slow-acting, or it takes a while for amp draw to heat the wire.

Following image shows amp-meter that clips over wire to get amp reading.

Can i make a 40 amp circuit breaker with two 20 amp breakers?

Yes. A two-pole breaker is just two breakers hooked together. But the very important part is that if one pole trips THEY MUST BOTH TRIP. If only one trips, then the circuit won't operate the appliance (whatever it is) but one of the poles will still be live!
