HI, maybe I can help, are you able to get into your desk top? I f so go to system restore, Start, Programs, System Tools, accessorys, restore
Take it back a couple of days to your last restore point, one where you remember that all was well. Try this first as it is the easiest, if you need further assistance, please let me know

- acpi has to do with the power settings , if I remember my vista, and it does not support it, so I have to wonder why it's telling you that, ok can you get into the bios, restart and hit the delete key, then use the arrows to navigate to the BIOS power settings "you may have to look thru the bios screens to find this" then when you find it, set it to disable acpi. I'm thinking that this is what is happening. It is possibly in the "on position and we must change it, try this and get back to me. thanksDec 24, 2008
- can you boot into safe mode by toggling f7 f8 on boot up prior to the boot up, if yo can get in that wy we can still do a restore.Or I can give yo some DOS commands to enter if we can get into safe mode. I don't want to give you a whole list of commands before you see if it will go into that mode. Pleasse hike the rating if I am helping you. that determines how we get compensated, I will help you alond as many times as necessary but need a higher rating or it works against me, thanks, Gym
