Down load the print driver form the Brother web site to a file on your desktop, open up the compressed file and then open it. Copy the file name and enter it in the brouse window and click OK. Lets hope it finds the file it wants.

Make sure it is set to autorecieve and not manual recieve, not too sure off the top of my head where in the menus you go to switch off sleep mode but if you print out a "Menu Map" this will show you every part of the menu and which to select to change it Hope this helps Cops

sleep mode is just a status of the machine when it is in idle mode.you cannot turn this off however you can delay the time before the unit goes into a sleep mode.it has nothing to do when you are sending out faxes.so here are a few things you need to check when sending a fax (1)dial tone by pressing hook/hold button (2) insert the doc into the adf, make sure it will change to "enter fax # and start,or copy press copy (3) dial the number (4) wait for fax tones of the receiving unit before you press start. now if you can hear an operator on the line, that has to be verified with your phone company since brother machine does not restrict incoming and outgoing faxes UNLESS that is restricted from your phone line.

DR mode means that the distigntive ring feature has been activated so it will not let you change receive mode. You need to turn off DR first. Press menu/set then 2, 0, 2, then press the down arrow till you see distigntive off then press menu/set.
Now you should be able to change the receive mode to fax only!
