You may need updated drivers to run with vista. You can download them from the lexmark website.

I installed a new hard drive in my dell inspiron laptop service tag #4360rf1 and it won't let me reinsstall the operating system i get a no bootable sector on harddrive error


When you boot up the laptop press F10 to bring up an list of devices to boot up from, select the CD drive.
OR
Go into the BIOS setup and to the Boot start up and move the CD to the top as the first boot device with the hard disk as the second device.
Your laptop will now boot uo with the Windows Vista installation CD.

I have Dell inspiron 1525 window vista recovery reports 5 error are detected in hard drive and memory errors detected on my laptop 1. hard drive doesnt respond to system commands-critical error 2.boot...


your HDD may be corrupted, re-installing windows vista is one option. Your best bet is if you have/ can obtain a copy of windows vista run setup and try the repair wizard in the windows vista setup, the wizard automatically finds errors and missing files and replaces them therefore solving any errors in your HDD. you can also try to use the recovery wizard from your recovery disc. best of luck

the new dell pc comes with vista operating system . the printer drivers u were trying to install is not compatible with the operating system : follow the link or copy paste to download the drivers for vista operating sysytem .

note :
1. make sure u leave no traces of old printer drivers on ur new pc .

Regarding the issue where the job is getting stuck in the print queue can you check if Bidi support is enabled ?
1. Go to Start->Control Panel->Printers.
2. Right click on the Printer Object and select "Run as Administrator->Properties"
3. Click on the "Ports" tab.
4. Check the box "Enable Bidirectional Support", if its not already and try again.

Hard drive not seen in dell latitude d600 after upgrade to vista


Your hard drive may need reseating.
If it still gives error hard disk not found then you have a faulty hard drive.
You need a new hard drive and then install Windows Vista

The issue usually occurs if you are using windows xp drivers on a vista machine. It's strange that the error does not come up when printing from internet explorer 7.0.

There is a file on support.dell.com that you can run to remove any xp drivers and then run the vista installation file. that should take care of these error messages from the operating system.

Computer will not communicate with printer


Go out to Lexmark web site and look for a vista update in their software download section. So this should solve your problem.Most of the cds which come with equipment do not contain vista software and drivers.
