Yes. You can even choose between 2 seconds and 10 seconds. Put the people in the shot. Focus the camera on them by holding the shutter button down halfway, and without releasing the shutter button, press the button all the way down to start the self-timer. (That's what the manual says. I go into the menu on the camera and set it up that way.) To do it from the menu: when the camera is on, hit the menu/ok key. The self-timer mode will pop up. Hit the right arrow. Here you can choose between the 2 and 10 second timer options. Select one. The timer won't start until you have pressed the shutter button halfway to focus and press the shutter button all the way down as stated earlier.

I have a vivitar camera its pink.after my memory card locked i cant talk pictures no more every time i press a button it lik takes a pic but i cant look at them if you no the promblem please write me at....

Take the memory card out of the camera and look at it. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

Will not display larger file size pictures from my new digital camer. The digital frame is model DPF-1021. From our old digital camera, the file sizes of pictures wer under 200KB. The new camera produces...

No you simply MUST have the pictures in the EXACT format & size that the Frame uses...You can simply re-size the pic's Usually they are pretty picky what they run... usually it will be a set format.. say JPG, and size say 200KB and color depth say 24/32bit. If one uses anything else your are going to get problems.
Go here to get a free good image resizer, download and install, then all you do is right click image and resize.

Format is used to clean everything off your memory card or memory device. Do not format until you have downloaded your pics.

I seems they are lost.

XD card picture error

Try to use a card reader instead. They are only a few dollars. I use one all the time, and hardly ever will use the camera on different models I have.
Never delete from the PC to the camera. It can cause corruption. Once corrupted, you may lose all pictures on the card.
Always delete from the camera, unless you will format the card anyway.
Use the camera and try to delete the bad picture from the camera. this may fix the problem, if not, try to read from another camera or a card reader...don't ever delete from another camera or the card reader.

The last is not good, and that means to format the card, and you will lose all which is on the card.
You may try to copy to internal memory.

One more thing... take out the card. reset all in the camera menu. Then reset all the things you like. Put the card in and try to read each picture in play mode only. If one picture is very slow, delete it. This may take some time as corrupted files may read slowly. then try again.

Can't take a picture

Greetings Cinmo7,

There is a small tab on the side of your card that might have gotten into the locked position. This can prevent you from deleting your photos or taking pictures, much like punching out the cutout on a cassette. Take your card out of your camera and slide the tab to the unlocked position.

Thank you,
