WFW9200SQA12 F22 code problem

I have a whirlpool wfw9200sqa12. At first it stopped with 2 min to go on cycle and door unlocked. Then held down the start button on risen & spin cycle. Door locked & sound like it was going to start. Flashed F22 and stopped again. Now the door want open while holding the door lock/unlock button down or start. I think it would be the door lock senor but how do I go about getting to it? All help appreciated.

This is a scratch and dent model with only a few top edge scratches on it but I just done a diagnostic and it showed the F22 as last code and apparently a F32 from before I got it. It is only a week old and looks like pump is clean and lines are good. Run a self test and it will run through the codes but no operation. Starts at C01 then C00 and so on then all option lights come on yellow and C00 is displayed and no working functions. There is no water in machine as it stopped after a spin cycle. I can still not get the door to unlock yet either. Let me know if I can try anything else or if you need anymore info before I have to load it up and haul it 70 miles back to store. Thanks for all you help

Same issue with the same machine.

F22 in the manual indicates (FRONT DOOR LOCK).

The manual says push cancel twice but I can not get two opportunities to push cancel twice as the power goes off.

Some thing I noticed was the machine does this, when the cold water setting is selected.

Few things I did and the door lock released.

    - Select warm water

    - Turn off the power.

    - Dial in Normal load

    - Power off

    - power on.

    - hit START multiple times (4-5) and then just hold the start button.

    - The door unlocks. I have done this a few times cause I was shocked that it worked?

Certainly not a fix but you get the laundry out.

I can wash laundry in "normal" mode with "warm water" selected and work every time, but not cold water? Must be a known problem.

The problem you are experiencing is a Long Drain error. You need to check the drain pump reservoir and drain lines for obstructions. the following link explains how:

If cleaning the pump does not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer that you replace it. It does not take much to permanently damage these small pumps. If anything has been lodged in the intake if the pump for any significant period of time, the motor and/or impeller may become damaged. This results in a pump they "appears" to be running, but may not be pumping anything.

In addition, check the drain hose that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the intake side of the drain pump. I have personally found small articles of clothing lodged in this area blocking the drain pump. Garments bags are highly recommended for small articles to prevent this.

I hope you find this information helpful. if you require additional assistance, please let me know.

Okay...have you tried unplugging the washer for AT LEAST 30 minutes? This will reset the CCU and often clear momentary glitches with the operational controls of the washer. Let me know.

PS There is a manual release for the door if you still cannot get it to unlock.

Code f22 flashing when i try to start load. the door seems to lock fine

unplug washer and let set 30 min. should reset. plug in, turn on then turn off a couple of times to see if doorlocks and unlocks properly. If not you may need a new switch. That F22 is door lock malfunction. You may need to check hinges and see if they are tight.

WFW9200SQA12 f32 error

The "F32" error code is indicating that there is no electrical supply to the Pressure Switch from the Central Control Unit (CCU) or if the Pressure Switch contacts are not making, then "F32" is displayed.

Possible Causes/Procedures:

  • Pressure switch failure
  • Check the Pressure Switch wiring harness for continuity.
  • Check the Pressure Switch for correct operation with a Digital volt/ohm meter.
  • To manually check the function of the Pressure Switch, remove hose from switch and apply air to switch. Audible clicks will be heard from the switch.

What is code F22 on sport duet washer? The locking mechanizm buzzes a little, and when you push start it's locked and stays locked, and you have to stick your hand up in it to unlock it.Thanks.

"F22" is a door latch failure error code. At the beginning of the wash cycle the door will attempt to lock several times. If the latch fails to lock, the washer shuts down and the error code is displayed.

In some cases, the error code can also be displayed if the CCU goes bad. There is a door latch relay on the board that controls the door locking mechanism. The CCU is not serviceable and must be replaced if defective. In addition, make sure all the connector plugs between the CCU and door latch are connected and snug.

Thank you !!

I have a Whirlpool WFW9200SQA12. F22 light

"F22" is a Door Lock error code. This is an indication of a door latch failure and/or interconnecting wiring problem. The first step in troubleshooting the problem, however, is to unplug the washer for AT LEAST 30 minutes in an attempt to reset the Central Control Unit (CCU). This is the main "brain" of your washing machine. Sometimes these error codes are erroneous and can be easily cleared by resetting the CCU. If the error code reappears following a CCU reset, then you have a genuine problem. In addition, if the door latch remains locked following this procedure, there is a manual release you can use to open the door. The following link explains:

If you still have the error code displayed, inspect the door latch mechanism for any broken, loose, or missing components. Next, opne the top panel of the washer by removing the three screws in the rear of the washer that hold the panel in place. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back, then off. Locate the door latch on the right hand side behind the front panel. Inspect the wiring harness from the door lacth the to CCU. The CCU is located directly behind the wash tub in the top rear of the washer. Make sure all the connectors are snug and not loose or broken. In the majority of cases, a persistant error is a failed door lacth. If all these preliminary checks are unsuccessful, replace the door latch. The next link explains how:

NOTE: "Fdl" is the same as an "F22" error code. This error code appears on older models.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you have questions please let me know.

The drain/spin cycle always adds water

It's normal if it just adds a little bit of water. It does this so your drain pump impeller doesn't run dry which could damage it. If it's filling right up, there could be a malfunction with the control board, the pressure switch or the inlet valve .

You could try shutting off the water supply at the taps before you start the drain/spin cycle.
Good luck!
