Hi, I have a ford mondeo with bluetooth connectivity for the phone. I bought a new 760 and it sees "ford audio" but will not connect. The ford manual says type a pin of 0000 into the phone and the 760 says it uses 1234 but I cant see how to change either....assuming that is the problem anyway. My aim is to have the car audio work normally while driving and if the GPS has something to say the normal car audio is interrupted during the gps message. Any suggestions appreciated. jim

Connect your 760 via USB to your computer and go to www.garmin.com and hover your mouse on "Support" and then click "Software". Select "Webupdater for Divice Software" and follow the directions to download updates for your 760. Keep in mind, not every cell has the same level of supported features, so some things that worked through your 760 on your old cell may no longer work with your new cell. If you have further question, click on "Contact Support" to get factory help.
If you use the headphone jack a lot and your missing the audio from the speaker and one channel from the headphone jack, then it's possible that some of the headphone jack connections have broken off of the PC board. The audio goes to the speaker through the headphone jack.
Please see this link for more info and read the section about the headphone jack.
I also have the 760 & the first gen Boulder (before the front
speaker was added). I had the same issue with the M07 firmware (the
latest you can get over the air), but took it into a Verizon store
& updated it to M09. I am now able to pair the two devices.
Go back into your tools and settings and re select the voice of american jack and see if it comes back on.
I lost the voice 2 days ago while on a trip from tenn. to florida and this fixed it. we never shut off the voice but somehow while using bluetooth or FM trans it shut off voice transmiting.
Did you check the settings for the sound output? If it is set to FM-receiver, you have to tune your radio to the same frequency as the 760 transmitting frequency. To get sound from 760-device, you must deselect the FM-transmitting feature. (I don´t think this solves your problem. Too obvious.)
