Desktop doesn't power on

However since your computer is a module compact design and not a standard ATX layout it may need to go in for repair.
Either a short-circuit or damaged power supply. However I fear a dead mainboard.

I bought a new power supply - how do I replace it? Can I get step by step instructions?


there are 4 screws ont he back of th computer usually remove thsoe but unplug power first then disconnect the cords from your drives and the motherboard put that power supply out of the way with your new power supply reconnect everything put the new one where your old one was and boot it up this model might have a caddy remove the caddy and check for the supply support screws

The orange flashing light on the power button is an indication of power supply failure.

Your Power supply unit needs to be replaced.

Amber lights at the front of my dell dimension cant boot up


This can mean various things, but I've had a few of these happen and it's usually caused by a failed power supply. Calling their tech support they will ask you to remove memory and disconnect hard and optical drives then try again. If it still is amber, it's a power supply.

You need to back up data from the drive and then connect your drive on MAC you need to use mac utility to format the hard disk in Mac as some times it wont recognize a windows operating system...

if you can see the bios screen then you can reload your operating system.if not then plz resit your ram. if the problem persists then your display adapter is bad and you have to send it for repair.
