Question about AT&T 1738 Digital Answering Machine
Always had a problem with this machine with static in the recorded message. I've tried everything as far as disonnecting the phone line while recording message and moving the machine to a quiet area so there is no background noise. Any solutions as this is a Digital System
The microphone (located inside the unit and faces downward towards the surface below the answering machine) might be defective. One option would be to call into the answering machine and try recording your message that way.
Other than that, there really isn't much you can do for this problem other than replace the unit.
