Question about HP DeskJet 6122 InkJet Printer

Trouble with the properties menu

When I installed to my newly issued computer, the properties menu came up a foreign language. My disc is also missing, and I don't have the manual. I "inherited" this printer from someone in my office. How can I change the properties menu back to English?

Hi mlcotte,

Well firstly here's the manual. It's in pdf form so you can save it too.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c00044028.pdf

That'll just be handy to have for future reference. You problem concerns the software. Here it is for XP:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software4/COL1674/dj-7515-3/6122_enu_win2k_xp.exe

Vista already has the driver support installed.
If you do a fresh install with the XP software and driver pack, the default language will be English.
Try that.

Hope this helps :)

Language set up

Push the Menu button. Scroll to the Setup menu. Language on that menu. Unfortunately the menus and everything else will be it the foreign language until you reset it. If you have trouble and can't figure out or find someone who knows the language your camera is set to, contact the Foreign Language Department at your local college or university.

Toshiba laptop restarting

The loop on your Toshiba Satellite laptop refers to the computer not booting properly.

During the loop, the computer will try to boot the Windows operating system and keep restarting over and over again.

This is not a hardware issue with your Toshiba Satellite A106.

The issue resides in the startup files on your computer's hard drive.

You can fix this by running a repair tool that comes with your Windows operating system.

This repair tool will fix your startup disk and allow you to get your computer back up and running.

Insert your Windows 7 installation disc into your computer's optical drive.

Start your computer and wait for it to boot from the install disc.

Choose your language from the menu and then click the "Next" button.

Click "Repair your computer" from the menu.

Choose the operating system you are using and then click the "Next" button.

Click on the "Disable Automatic Restart On System Failure" button to disable the startup loop.

Click the "Startup Repair" tool from the menu and wait for the computer to fix your startup disk.

Wait for the computer to finish repairing your startup disk and then allow it to restart automatically.

Wait for the computer to boot correctly to your login screen.

Hope this helps

LANGUAGE PROBLEM

The print properties are completely software based and have nothing to do with the printer itself. You've had to have installed the wrong version of the print driver or your operating system is set to the wrong default language. I'm assuming you would know if you were running a foreign copy of Windows so I would uninstall the printer and then download and reinstall the English version from the Ricoh website.

Computer no longer reads drive

It sounds like a permissions issue, allways repair permissions after an update and dont use the machine while installing updates. If it will not repair permissions from disc utility then boot from the install disc, select language and on the page that appears there is a menu bar at the top, select utilities and disc utility and use that.
